Sure it is. When was the last time something, anything criticized the practice? Any politician who spoke against it? Any televangelist who condemned it? Cohabition is accepted as the norm. Divorce is subsidized by the government. Both practices are forced on the rest of us.
I think it's being pushed. It's the "norm" on every show. It just doesn't seem to be a big thing anymore at all.

Schools are not teaching kids that they're wrong, either.
Companies are not being blackmailed to provide dependent coverage for unmarried heterosexual partners and for adulterous partners.
They don't need to be forced, it's offered as a matter of course.
It isn't okay but it isn't considered a "go to hell" sin. Shellfish, pork, etc. are all scavengers, created to clean up the environment.
It is a health law for our benefits, however, it is also a way for us to show God we will obey the very few restrictions He puts on us.
This just another homo-hit-piece that attempts to use sleight of hand to redirect attention. It’s just the old if-my-depravity-draws-fire-I-should-point-out-the-sin-of-others routine.
They need this cover in areas where they have not yet installed the underpinnings that will allow them to shove their depravity down the throat of society. Make no mistake, they don’t just want tolerance, they want their behavior normalized, even celebrated.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I wish those who take these polls would clearly define what it means to be a Christian. There are many who label themselves as such, but they have never cracked open a bible, nor do they even know what it means to follow Jesus.
If so many on these post want to condemn homosexuals they better take a good long look in the mirror. I’ll bet you most on this thread (including myself) has committed adultery. You see the bible clearly defines adultery not only as a sexual act between two people while married, but if you look at another with lust (which is what I am guilty of)then you have committed adultery. All have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. All must repent, not just homosexuals.
You’re absolutely correct. God has defined acceptable sexual relations within the marriage covenant between one man and one woman. Outside of this, all is fornication - whatever the flavor.
The reaction here is due to the militant aggression of the organized homosexual lobby’s efforts to force the rest of society to accept their sin as “not sin”.
How so? Let's take the black community for instance. Again 70% of black children are born out of wedlock, products of fornication. Illegitimacy is at the root of many social ills in our inner cities, yet you want to believe that homosexuality is the bigger problem? This is not to say that homosexuality is not sinful, but that the social impact of cohabition and adultery are worse, simply by the numbers.

I remember an episode of Oprah years ago where she was getting morally indignant about an adulterer and then later on in the same show casually remarked that she and Steadman had just gotten back from a Caribbean vacation!

First of all, about 1.5% of the population is homosexual, there have been a lot of studies and those are the most recent figures and most studies agree with this number. Unfortunately, now about 40% of babies in the US are born out of wedlock, with figures for black people around 80%.
If you read Stanley Kurtz' very well researched articles about the promotion of homosexuality and same sex "marriage", there is a correlation between the acceptance of homosexuality and the breakdown of marriage.
It is quite significant that homosexuals, although a tiny percentage of the population, are disproportionally represented in entertainment, the media, in education - they are spearheading the drive to destroy morality in society.
The push to destroy the traditional moral guidelines regarding sexual activity will ultimately destroy society. A society composed of rutting adults and unwanted fatherless children soon breaks down as we can see happening right now. Mothers with 5 children in tow, different absent fathers, various live in boyfriends, then 13 year olds with their kids, homosexuals orgying in the streets, demands for lowering the age of consent (homosexuals are especially vocal), virtual child porn legal, etc etc - this ruins families. The influence is pervasive. Kids become sexualized younger and younger, so many times acting out what they've seen on TV, the computer, or learned in sex-ed class.
When homosexual acts are no longer allowed to be called immoral or unnatural, then anything goes. The basest impulses for instant gratification are now culturally acceptable. And since sex without committed marriage is actually unsatisfying, people have to create more and more extremes to find some thrill. Necrophilia and bestiality are the next taboos to break, along with so-called "inter-generational" sex. A not insignificant number of academics and psychologists are now pushing to legitimize pedophilia.
Anal sex is unhealthy for anyone - male, female, animal, vegetable or mineral.
Utilitarian morality? Interesting.
