I agree with the author of this article on his viewpoints on moderates/liberals in the Republican party. Nixon,Ford,Rockefeller,GHW Bush/Howard Baker,Dole,etc. I would also include Fred Thompson in that bunch. He may be more conservative than Hillary and Guilianni, but he is and would govern as a moderate, no matter what he says during the campaign. Talking and doing are two different things.
You could be right. Duncan Hunter is my first choice, but it is getting frustrating. I am not ready to give up and move on to someone else just yet though. If we eventually need to move on to our next choice, then I would like to see Duncan as VP. (or Secretary of Defense)
