I thought the time was unevenly apportioned between the candidates, and it's confirmed .. with thanks to calcowgirl:
Mr. Giuliani: "... " 43 occurences.
Mr. McCain: "... " 21 occurences.
Mr. Tancredo: "... " 15 occurences.
Mr. Hunter: "... " 11 occurences.

When asked about war powers, Romney's insistence that he would have to check with his lawyers sounded like he didn't have a firm grasp on the mechanisms of war.Poor Willard. Maybe next time he'll have a lawyer on stage with him, to hep him wit duh tuf stuff (like high school civics).

My favorite Fred comment was after Matthews said that Fred would have been better served to just answer yes or no, and Fred said, “who asked you?”

Willard, what do you think your powers are in this case?
Ask my lawyer.
Well, Willard, do you need to ask the Congress?
I SAID ASK MY LAWYER!

>> Fred said, who asked you?
As I recall, Fred said “Well, that’s your opinion, Chris”.
But if your point is, Fred was in control of the exchange— then I agree completely.

You know, people keep knocking Fred on lack of executive experience, but Romney and Giuliani lack foreign affairs experience, which I think showed very clearly in the debate tonight.

I think you may be right. Anyone have the transcript of that exchange between Matthews and Thompson
I know I noticed a silence in the audience, who seemed to be waiting for Matthews to "rip

Nope. Fred said, "That's *your* opinion, Christopher!" like a parent chiding a child. :-)

Just found the quote. It was a beaut.
"No one asked you your opinion, Christopher."
LOL that had to hurt.

I love the fact that they were able to predict that Chris Matthews was going to attempt a ‘gotcha’ with Thompson.
As if that in any way would prove his manliness.

Great analysis. I watched the debate so fast (with a Tivo control in hand to fast forward through commercials and Ron Paul) that I missed Fred’s gotcha moment with the ‘who asked you’ comment. Might have to go back and catch that.
