I scratch your back, you scratch my back?

Either way, this is not an appealing or ethical situation for a Republican candidate for President in which to find himself.

Huckabee has sold out to the globalist agenda, and because he did, he will NEVER be our President.......

We don't need any more traitors who are only interested in how they can use us to further their own selfish ambitions!

"During his years in Little Rock, Huckabee raised the state's sales tax by 37%, the gas tax by 16% and the cigarette tax by 103% (all fall particularly hard on the poor). State spending went up a staggering 65.3% -- three times the inflation rate."

Good for a start! I just can't pin it down yet but each time I hear him I get uneasy. I wouldn't want him as a VP either.

Not the smartest move, Huckster. ...especially considering the sentiments of the electorate toward Mexico these days. Tone-deafness on this issue appears to be epidemic. McCain co-authoring an amensty deal with Ted Kennedy and then expecting to win the GOP nomination is case in point.

Maybe it’s because I don’t believe in lawyers or religous leaders running for public office. It is something I can’t quite put in words...but definitely makes me uncomfortable.

That is my reaction as well. He is just too smooth. I would also like to know more about him such as the actual name of his church. How long was he a minister? Somehow I feel this guy was a political animal from the start. Did he come from some political family?

Is there anyone from Arkansas who can tell us more about him? Where was he born for starters?

Reading this article confirms my suspicions. As I have tried to figure out the surge of illegals all over this country, it just seems like this mass movement of people was planned. I suspected that the groups like LULAC were in communication with the Mexican consuls, I believed that they were reaching out to politicians and politically connected businesses. This is exactly the pattern that we see in Arkansas and I believe this is what has been going on all over the country. When the politicians and businesses saw that the immigration law was not being enforced it became a free-for-all. Everyone was out for all they could get. They quickly lost all shame as they saw other businesses doing the same. It kind of reminds you of what happens during riots, when there is a perception that the police are not around, looters start breaking into stores and stealing everything they can take. This duplicitous open border policy has spawned a climate of lawlessness in government and business.

Have a generally conservative friend who has lived in Bella Vista for about 15 years - population used to be 99% retirees. Response to my ?? about him - “He’s a very nice person”. Seems to be more upset about Wally World moving so many people to Bella Vista and then mandating that they live in that city to remain on the payroll. Blue hairs don’t want anybody clutting their streets up with extra traffic and they sure don’t want to have to deal with school bonds, taxes, etc. Visited one time and tipped carry-out kid $1.00 for taking groceries out. Severely chastised - after all, they’re on limited income!!! My city ways weren’t welcome. Since I wouldn’t vote for Huck anyway, decided not to pursue it.

ha ha. I know a few places here in Texas where he can get a big fat dose of "being in the minority." He can park his butt there for a few weeks and then tell us how funny it is... if he is still alive.

Yea, I did not do a lot of laughing when I was there. I did have a few nights of little sleep because of "unusual" individuals hanging around the motel room parking lot. I was still Dir of Ops for the Texas Minutemen about this time last year and not the most popular person in Carrizo Springs. But we made a good showing on the Laredo to Eagle Pass stretch. The local BP agents finally fessed up and told us that apprehensions in out border watch area had dropped into the single digits.

I slept with a Glock 21 and a AR when I got to stay in town. At the control and communications camp down on the border we looked like a recon team most of the time. But noooobody tried to mess with us.

Check post 20, it has a link. The article was written by Jerome Corsi and was on www.worldnetdaily.com. It was posted Nov 1, 2007. The title is “Legality of Huckabee’s Mexican consulate deal questioned.”

If you are not familiar with Jerome Corsi, he just wrote the big seller “The Late Great USA” which is about the North American Union and the SPP. He has written many great articles for World Net Daily. For anyone who may not have heard of the North American Union, it is the plan now well advanced to join the USA, Mexico and Canada under one government much like the European Union. Bush is involved which is why I no longer respect him. It may be hard to believe but it is true. So many top level people are globalists these days, we have to be very careful and look beyond their carefully prepared facades.

http://frontpagemagazine.com/Articles/Read.aspx?GUID=AFA09DDD-3E13-41CC-ACA3-0F20B0C1720D

Michael Savage just called him the Huckster today.
The Front Page article says that Huckabee opposed a bill requiring id for voters. Huckabee said it “inflames those who are racists and bigots and makes them think there is a real problem. But there’s not.”

Huckabee also parolled a rapist who moved to Missouri and raped another woman. God deliver us from this kind of “compassion”. The more I listen to this guy the more he reminds me of smug, full-of-himself Jimmy Carter. Mama must have told him that the sun rises and sets around him.

Huckabee promotes 'open door' policy at LULAC convention

Thursday, Jun 30, 2005

By Wesley Brown

Arkansas News Bureau

LITTLE ROCK - In a impassioned speech before hundreds of influential Hispanic civil rights leaders from across the nation, Gov. Mike Huckabee told a captive audience Wednesday that America is great because it has always opened it doors up to people seeking a better way of life.

"I would hope that no matter who we are, or where we are from, that America should always be a place that opens its arms, opens it heart, opens its spirit to people who come because they want the best for their families ...," Huckabee said as the largely Hispanic audience gave him a standing ovation.

Huckabee was the keynote speaker, along with Tyson Foods Inc. Chairman and CEO John Tyson, at a noon luncheon of the League of United Latin American Citizens, which is holding its 76th annual convention in Little Rock.

About 10,000 political, community and business leaders, along with exhibitors and speakers are in Little Rock attending the convention at the Statehouse Convention Center. The convention started Monday and runs through Saturday.

Although he never actually talked about the U.S. or Arkansas immigration policy, Huckabee made it very clear where he stood on the issue. In his opening remarks, he said the nation will need to address the concerns of the Hispanic community because of its growing influence and population base.

"Pretty soon, Southern white guys like me may be in the minority," Huckabee said jokingly as the crowd roared in laughter.

He told the LULAC delegates that their presence in the state's capital city was very important because Arkansas has one of the fastest growing Hispanic populations in the nation. "Your gathering is so very significant for our state," Huckabee said. "We are delighted to have you."

Despite several light moments, Huckabee did not stray away from several controversial issues that made him a target of criticism during the recently ended 85th General Assembly. He said Arkansas needs to make the transition from a traditional Southern state to one that recognizes and cherishes diversity "in culture, in language and in population."

"This is an issue that is going to require extraordinary efforts on both sides of the border, particularly those coming from Mexico," Huckabee said of verifying the status of illegal aliens. "But I am confident that our government will recognize that we should accommodate people who wish to provide the best opportunities for their families (and) employers so that we can make sure our economy has the necessary work force."

During the legislation session, Huckabee criticized an immigration bill by Republican senators Jim Holt of Springdale and Denny Altes of Fort Smith as un-Christian, un-American, irresponsible and anti-life. Senate Bill 206, which died in the Senate, would have required proof of citizenship to register to vote and also force state agencies to report suspected cases of people living in the country illegally. Holt, R-Springdale, replied later to Huckabee's comments that Christian charity does not include turning a blind eye to lawbreaking.
