DUmmie FUnnies 12-12-07 ("Derek Shearer's Lips Meet Hillary's Bottom")
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | December 12, 2007 | HUffies and PJ-Comix

Posted on 12/12/2007 5:55:42 AM PST by PJ-Comix

I chose this HUffington Post THREAD to DUFU today for two reasons. First of all the title, "Derek Shearer's Lips Meet Hillary's Bottom," absolutely cracks me up. I mean the authors, Jerry and Joe Long aren't a couple of anonymous posters. They are official bloggers at the HUffington Post which makes it even FUnnier. The other reason why I am DUFUing this thread is that I want everybody to get up to speed on the fraud known as Derek Shearer. As pointed out in a terrific NewsBusters STORY yesterday, far from being a mainstream establishment type that Shearer makes himself out to be in his HUffpo biography, he is actually a far left SOCIALIST who specializes in hiding his Ideology That Dare Not Speak Its Name with weasel words such as "Economic Democracy." Here is what Shearer wrote in his 1980 book, Economic Democracy:

"Socialism has a bad name in America and no amount of wishful thinking is going to change that... the words, economic democracy are an adequate replacement."

Shearer was also exposed in a 2000 WorldNetDaily ARTICLE:

"Shearer and so many other Marxists realized that the only way to impose Marxist socialism on America was by way of the strategy outlined by Antonio Gramsci (pronounced "gram-shee"), the Italian communist, who had much time to think about such things while imprisoned for many years in Italy. His "Prison Notebooks" were widely read and studied by communists in the West. Gramsci analyzed Western culture and concluded that the only way that communists could finally impose their totalitarian will over the West was by first taking over its educational, cultural and religious institutions. This would require years of stealthful infiltration."

Remember Tom Hayden? Well, guess who created and ran his socialist platform, Campaign For Economic Democracy, in the 1970s in California? Derek Shearer. And you might also recall the Peoples Republic of Santa Monica. It was Shearer's wife who kicked that off when she became mayor of Santa Monica and then appointed Shearer and other far leftists to the city commission to institute their leftwing "Economic Democracy" (socialist) policies.

So let us now watch the HUffies mock Derek Shearer in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, noting that Hillary also supports the Ideology That Dare Not Speak Its Name, is in the [brackets]:

Derek Shearer's Lips Meet Hillary's Bottom

[That target is hard to miss.]

It's been our policy never to negatively comment on other Huffpo bloggers for a couple of very sound reasons. One...who the hell are we? Two...we just assume there's someone somewhere that, for instance, finds Danielle Crittenden amusing.

[Go negative but I think you miss the REAL problem with Derek Shearer.]

But the ode of Derek Shearer to the wife of his former employer is so transparently cloying that...maybe just this one time...

[Shearer would like to be appointed a Commissair in the new Clinton Regime.]

First, here's Derek establishing his bonafides:

[While carefully avoiding the S-word.]

"I have known Hillary Clinton since she first met my friend Bill Clinton at Yale Law School and he fell head over heels in love with her." No doubt keeping in mind, as Woody Allen wrote in Annie Hall, 'love fades'.

[Love Story II.]

Then we move straight to the Mark Penn school of discourse:

"Polls show that by virtue of her political experience and her recognized talents, people recognize that Hillary is almost uniquely ready to serve as president and as commander-in-chief, even among those who politically oppose her." Indeed, people recognize her recognized talents.

[That sound you hear is the smacking of Shearer lips against ample Hildebeast cheeks.]

Then, to make reassurance total, comes a graph proclaiming her equality in intelligence to the President of Finland. " I also accompanied Hillary to a one-on-one meeting with Martti Ahtisaari, the President of Finland, and an accomplished UN diplomat. The conversation with the president went on for two hours and ranged over complex issues of European security and US foreign policy. It was very much a discussion of equals in intelligence."

[I'm almost surprised they weren't handed IQ tests and then compare the results. What happened here is the President of Finland merely acting polite to an annoying First Lady of the United States.]

Yet while many a Finn may now pull the lever with confidence, what of her penchant for triangulation? Rest easy: " Her views on defense and foreign policy are progressive as well as nuanced and thoughtful. She does not play to the crowd with cheap rhetoric."

[How about the cheap rhetoric of calling socialism "economic democracy," Derek?]

Still not convinced: "Hillary is a hard-headed, reality-based, practical progressive.." How much plainer can he be people!!!

[That was Shearer winking to the Left that Hillary is really a socialist like the rest of them. Wink! Wink!]

Anyway, just read it. Apparently, Hillary is a penisless FDR who will make all our lives better. But the most striking thing about it is the robotic tone of you-must-accept-her. Much like the Ellen "Hillary has no dick so she gets my vote" Chesler piece in The Nation. Where Chesler praises Hillary for standing up to "withering personal attack by six angry men", and proclaims that criticism of Hillary's vote on the Iran resolution "should be understood as little more than disingenuous political theater".

[LOL! Penisless FDR. I gotta remember that one. She is also a penisless Hugo Chavez.]

Yep...if there's one thing a Clinton supporter knows, it's disingenuous political theater.

[Especially when that Clinton supporter is trying to cover up his support of socialism. And now to hear from the other HUffies...]

I find the whole notion that Hillary is a progressive Liberal as utterly laughable. Opportunist is more like it. If I were in a kind mood, I might confer the title of pragmatist but that label would belie her true colors. It may be all relative in a Senate family that number a hundred, but Hillary in the Senate is hardly the most liberal Senator, heck she's not even the most liberal Senator from New York and may be actually be the most conservative Democratic Senator north of the Mason-Dixon line. Hers is a politics of expediency amidst prevailing winds. Perhaps burned by the turmoils of 1993 and 1994 with "Hillary Care," she now blows with the wind. And as the wind always shifts, where will she blow tomorrow? As a progressive Liberal, you either accept the core tenets of liberalism or you don't. She doesn't. She is not a progressive Liberal.

[Hillary is BOTH an opportunist and a socialist. However, like Derek Shearer she has to hide the latter.]

Don't vote for Hillary. She's a Republican.

[Don't vote for Hillary. She's a Socialist.]

I read the piece as well and it was such a propagandist bit of treacle I could hardly stand it. All the talking points were very well hit and explained as though it was foolish to have ever thought differently. One of the biggest points to me was the fact that he kept on and on about her intelligence. I don't think anyone doubts that. I think the problem most have has nothing to do with how smart she is. It's rather more a question of how much of a sell-out she is. Again, I'll vote for her if she's the nominee because of the 3000 people who are appointed by a president to make policy, but I'm working very hard in my community to prevent that.

[Shearer's treacle was the secret message to the Left that Hillary is really a socialist like the rest of us. He just can't say it out loud.]

I tried hard to stay with Derek Shearer but it was just too insulting to my intelligence. Like many of the puff pieces on Hillary, Shearer's post had a disturbingly desperate quality that made it seem like it had been written under some kind of duress; perhaps even at gunpoint. Thanks for reading it so I didn't have to.

[A Derek Shearer hostage tape?]

I'm glad you read Derek Shearer's article so that I didn't have to. I owe you one. I got as far as "...Yale Law School..." when I realised it was, as you say, an ass-kissing exercise. I didn't even reach "...head over heels in love...". If I had, I would have needed to find a bathroom right quick.

[A Barf Alert.]

I did read Shearer's article,.... and it about made me 'ralf' all over the keyboard.

[A Ralf Alert.]

Thanks!!! I had to stop reading his piece to gag --and then had a sugar rush from all the cloying sweetness.

[A socialist sugar rush.]

Anytime you see this phrase, “progressive as well as nuanced”, read it as indecisive and wishy washy!

For the politically clueless, perhaps. but Hillary Clinton is far from 'indecisive or wishy washy. She's a socialist/communist in my book. And just like other Democrats in elected office, she uses short-term acquiescence for long-term purposes.

True.

Also, she can speak for longer than anyone without uttering a single word of truth.

I suppose those are talents.

After reading Shearer’s sukup piece, I would expect Wee Willy Pitt to be at Bukowski’s when it opens and then stay until it closes.

Was that the McDLT, by any chance?

I loved the McDLT. It was the best tasting burger they ever had.

"I have known Hillary Clinton since she first met my friend Bill Clinton at Yale Law School and he fell head over heels in love with her."

Bill Clinton loves no one but himself. Maybe he considered Hillary "useful" in various ways.

Oh, I'm reassured--NOT! Hillary's as smart as a dumb Finn. Whoopee! Let Hillary and her First Laddy go stain a sink in Helsinki.

she now blows with the wind.

PANTSUIT IN THE WIND
Tune: "Candle in the Wind"

Hello, Crusty Queen,
Though you never cleaned it at all,
You had the guts to wear your suit
While those around you crawled.
They crawled out of the odor
And they kept on holding their nose,
They shouted from a distance
And they begged you, "Change your clothes."

And it seems to me you wore your clothes
Like a pantsuit in the wind,
Never knowing what to change to
When the stains set in.
And I would have liked to have worn one,
But it would make me ill.
Your perfume wore out long before
Your pantsuit ever will.

Anytime a bureaucrat says "make all our lives better" is time to make reservations for an extended overseas vacation....

Or maybe it was a McDLT. I think it came out in the Fall of 2003. It was on special at just a buck. Great sandwich but when they tried to raise the price, it flopped.

I had some Krystal Burgers today. MUCH better than McDonald’s. Royal Castle had burgers a lot like Krystal Burgers. When I was a kid, Royal Castle was all over South Florida. It was like part of the scene. I loved their murals featuring coffee beans and bacon and eggs. Maybe that is why I am a caffeine addict. It must have come from seeing all those coffee beans presented so alluringly in those murals.
