As a lifelong GOP supporter, I thought it would be a good idea to become a 24/7 Rush Limbaugh subscriber so I could listen to his daily shows at a later date. I thought this would allow me to get some real coverage on all of the GOP's candidates. I thought Rush would provide some fair reporting on all the GOP candidates that the major networks fail to do. Boy was I mistaken.
After listening to Rush for about week, my first impression of Rush was that he is an arrogant know it all. And very well paid I might add. I thought maybe I needed to give him more time before making that judgment against him.
As the weeks passed by I kept hearing Rush say that he will not pick a GOP candidate in the primaries. However, it became apparent that he is a Romney supporter. Every chance he gets he attacks McCain and Huckabee. Rush claims that McCain and Huckabee are not true conservatives.
From my listening experience thus far, The Limbaugh Show is nothing more than Rush reporting disinformation. After a recent GOP debate, Rush went on the attack against McCain on the immigration issue. Rush claimed McCain got hammered on the issue and implied that McCain was for amnesty. Talking about disinformation, Rush was reporting a complete lie to all his listeners. I hope all Rush's listeners saw the same debate. McCain said that his first action as President would be to close all the borders with Mexico. The true McCain policy is first to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and then address the illegal immigrants in the U.S. now in a humane way. That seems like a logical plan to take.
Then there is Romney who at the same debate said when he is President he will throw out all of the illegal immigrants without first addressing the immediate problem of stopping the flow from Mexico. On this day Rush was the foot soldier for Romney. It was this day that I lost my trust in anything that comes out of Rush's mouth.
The real reason that Rush finds it easy to attack McCain and Huckabee is because the two men have not kissed up to Rush. Both campaigns have already said things that have upset the big guy's ego.

Hmmm...I was going to suggest that Rush’s comment was “tongue in cheek”, but somehow that seems inappropriate.
Is this the return of the Trilateral Commission, or did it ever go away?

The remark may be given too much significance, but Rush knows that a Republican candidate whoever it is, has a better chance against Hillary than Obama. Rush will be “soft” on Hillary until the time she wraps up the nomination, at that point Rush will declare open season on Hillary.

In the context of Rush’s talk, it became clear that if a perception is out there among female voters that Hillary is being picked on, or fatigued by angry males, then she is bound to pick up female votes driven less by intellectualism and more by emotional reflexiveness by those women who can relate in some way to general female angst against men.
The unsaid corrollary to that, is that if you heap undo praise upon a woman in the presence of other women,
a large percentage of women will go catty on her.
In the spirit of delivering less votes to the Clinton, I say Wow!, Hillary, you look fantastic!

Hillary was sexy in her college days. Down at Patty’s Pub at two AM on a Saturday night.
So, when Rush said that Thompson was the only conservative in the race, he was really supporting Romney?

Rush needs an eye exam if this is true.
Here’s what’s going on.
1. AS Rush says, “Words Mean Things.” She LOOKED sexy. Not that she IS sexy. She probably did look good at that point and that lighting and with those clothes. I don’t doubt this is not only genuinely what he thought at that moment.
2. Rush ain’t no dummy either. He wants Hillary to be the Dem nominee.
3. Still doesn’t change the fact Rush will be going after her on experience, scandals, etc etc. Didn’t change anything about what he feels about her.
Sometimes it just proves a fresh coat of paint on an old barn can do wonders for it.
Is he having a Shallow Hal moment?
