May Day For The American Nation
The Potatoe! ^ | 5/1/2008 | Jason L. Van Dyke, Esq.

Today is May 1, 2008. As many of my readers know, today is "May Day" or "International Workers Day" - a day when most of the world has its equivalent of the American "Labor Day" holiday. If this sounds Stalinist to the average American, their instincts would be correct. Americans do, after all, have a nose for this type of thing as, for all true Americans, the very thought of living behind the iron curtain of communism is nothing short of hateful. In recent years, Americans have been given a new reason to hold their nose on May Day as it has become a day of so-called "solidarity" in which illega immigrants and their supporters take to the streets in support of open borders.

Illegal immigration is a special issue because it attacks our country in such a variety of ways. First and foremost, it attacks one of the most defining characteristics of our nation: its borders. All nations have borders and the question of borders further begs the question of whether a nation without borders can really be called a nation at all. By its very definition, a nation is an exclusive entity. The borders separating one nation from another are the most basic means by which nations distinguish themselves. Borders, of course, do not completely define the nation. A person unlawfully present within the borders of a nation can not legitimately claim to be a part of it. It does, however, provide us with a starting point when questioning the definition of a nation. The argument for "open borders" amounts to nothing short of an argument to rob the United States of America of its most basic and fundamental defining characteristics: its own borders.

The problem of illegal immigrants, especially those from Mexico, poses a second threat to the nation: it's culture. If the presence of a person within a nation's borders does not necessarily make him a part of that nation, it logically follows that a person's presence outside of his nation's borders does not terminate his membership in the nation. It is for this reason that nations are defined more broadly and by such characteristics as a common language, religion, system of values, and perhaps most importantly, mutual consent.

The concept of consent is just as fundamental to nationhood as borders. Just as no person can become part of a nation without its consent, no person may be compelled to join a nation without his own consent. Can a person legally present within the borders of a nation really be a part of that nation without adopting the most basic characteristics of the other members of that nation? One cannot legitimately force any person to abandon his language, religion, or the values dictated by his conscience. When such change is forced on an individual he does not become a citizen - he becomes a prisoner. Similarly, when such a change is refused by the individual, his status within the nation is nothing more than that of an outside with, at best, a legal right to be physically present within the borders of a nation other than his own. The illegal immigrant, therefore, is more like a parasite than an outsider because he has no legitimate right to be within the nation's borders in the first place.

Although some find the term mean-spirited, referring to illegal immigrants as "parasites" is overly generous. A parasite feeds off of its host but does not destroy it. Illegal immigrants are to America as the HIV virus is to a human being - slowing killing it, little by little, until it is eventually conquered by an outside force. It is also similar insofar as prevention is far more effective in stopping its spread than a cure.

If our government put as much effort into preventing illegal immigration as it did in HIV/AIDS prevention our nation might not be in the dire straits it finds itself in today. With each illegal immigrant that crosses our border, our nation becomes more vague and difficult to define. As their numbers multiply, our culture becomes confused and warped. We have already started to lose our common language and our values - of freedom, personal responsibility, and limited government - have become endangered by the entitlements demanded of us by illegals. Unless we take action now, our nation will soon become so unrecognizable to its own members that it will cease to be a nation at all.

Went to a Catholic School and remember May Day. It was a festival of sorts. "Mary" was always crowned Queen of course.

But the day always makes me think of Camelot...

“It’s a Marxist invasion, not legal or illegal immigration. The Hegelian Principle.”

You remember the steps: The first step (thesis) is to create a problem. The second step (anti-thesis) is to generate opposition to the problem (fear, panic, hysteria). The third step (synthesis) is to offer ** the

solution ** to the problem created in step one, -— change which would have been impossible to impose on the people without proper psychological conditioning achieved in stages one and two.”

The First Step was to create a widespread conspiracy of federal, local and state governments that would entice, accept and illegally provide benefits for illegal alien invaders. Once that stage was completed, the created problem of illegal alien invasion could then be propagandized as a consequence uncontrollable economic conditions, an “unsolvable problem” that could only be resolved with amnesty for invaders, open borders and Marxist give away programs for illegals.

April 27—On April 25 when the not guilty verdict against the cop killers of Sean Bell, a 23-year-old African American was announced, immigrant rights activists and many immigrants spontaneously joined the progressive movement in a demonstration in Queens, N.Y., to protest the racist verdict. ...

"Workers World Party Secretariat members Teresa Gutierrez and Fred Goldstein will deliver papers at the Fourth International Conference on the Work of Karl Marx and the Challenges of the 21st Century in Havana, Cuba, May 5-8. This article continues the analysis made in Gutierrez’s paper on “Immigrants, the Revival of May Day in the United States and the Future for a United Working-class Fightback.” Both papers will soon be available on the workers.org Web site in their entirety. Gutierrez is also a leading organizer with the May 1st Coalition for Immigrant and Workers Rights in New York City."

NOTE (for those who may not know): The large so-called "anti-war" organization, International A.N.S.W.E.R., was also formed by leaders of the Workers World Party (and mere days after the 911 attacks). WWP is a collection of Stalinists based in New York City. When A.N.S.W.E.R. was eventually outed as a communist front, WWP started up a new "peace" group called Troops Out Now. Democrat chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Charlie Rangel, actually gives speeches at their rallies and the New York City media looks the other way.

Here's a photo of chairman Rangel at the podium of a March 19, 2005 WWP/TON "anti-war" rally in NYC. March 19, 2005 marked the 2nd anniversary of the start of the Iraq war. Other prominent lefties who spoke at the rally were the former attorney general under democrat president LBJ, Ramsey Clark , and Lynne Stewart , convicted of aiding islamic terrorists. Clark heads the International Action Center and had a major role in the formation of A.N.S.W.E.R. All three organizations, The International Action Center, Troops Out Now and Workers World Party have headquarters at the same exact location in New York City.--EOTL

From the website of the Workers World Party, workers.org:

"On July 9 (1994), Workers World Party Chairperson Sam Marcy sent the following statement to Comrade Kim Jong Il, the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea and the State Funeral Committee of President Kim Il Sung.":

"Dear Comrade Kim Jong Il ...

Workers World Party values our close, comradely relations with the Workers Party of Korea very highly. We are proud to have known Kim Il Sung as a great leader and a comrade in the international communist movement. ...

With comradely solidarity, Sam Marcy Chairperson, Workers World Party":

Final thoughts: In a normal world one might think information like this, wide out in the open for all to see, would at the very least merit an investigation of this leader of the democrat party. But then this is obviously not a normal world we live in.--Eye On The Left
