Congress won't allow us to drill our own oil so these intellegent public servants thus allow other countries to do so and then we buy it from them. I’ve noticed that the “evil oil companies” routine is being used now to justify this. Now they say that opening these fields just gives more money to these evil capitalists.

From the looks of it Senator Craig was worked up that Cuba wasn't able to have US oil companies drill in Cuban waters because of our embargo against Cuba.

Yep. Just throw them a fish and keep em happy. So Obama brainwashes em by telling them that a reduction in the Gas Tax would not be a long term solution. Then the Congress Critters all state that any cut in gas taxes will just mean more money in the oil companies pockets.
Wonder why they never state that any temporary tax increases will never provide long term solutions ? Or why they never state that any increase in revenues due to higher taxes will just be wasted by greedy politicians ?
