So your saying you didn’t like it?

I really encourage fans to boycott it. ... But when Jones begins to look for the Krystal Skull

Spell check is our friend.

It seems every two-bit screed behind a keyboard wants their 15 seconds of notoriety writing vapid reviews of potential blockbuster movies. Why do anonymous losers try to get their thrill in life by making others miserable? It is a loathsome trait. It wasn't meant to be the Second Coming. It's only a movie. We already went through this tripe with Star Wars fans acting like spoiled children who didn't get their candy cane for the day when they didn't like the prequels. If you want to wallow in your miserable viewing experience, fine. But leave the rest of us alone.

Sorry, that’s just your opinion of it. Point in fact, the vast majority of critics have hailed it and screening reception has so far been great.

Check out this thread on IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367882/board/flat/106432963

It has a near complete list of all reviews for Indy IV so far, plus ratings on RottenTomatoes (the top critics so far have given it 83% rating). So far 80 reviews are positive, 32 are negative for a total rating of 79% and a “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes.

Also, from what I’ve read the film was given a 5-minute standing ovation at Cannes at the end of the movie.

So all of this so far negates your opinion of the film. I personally have no doubt it will be a good film. It won’t be Raiders of the Lost Ark or a masterpiece, but how many movies these days are masterpieces anyway?

I thought the 2nd one was horrible, especially the acting of his female sidekick.

Why do you have to try and spoil it for the rest of us? I should boycott the first Indiana Jones movie in 19 years because you said it was awful?

Take a hike.

I also have a hard time believing that you saw it at 12:01am today, since its being released at 12:01am tonight.

If you DID see it, it would have to have been an advanced screening of some sort which would not have the time requirements constituting a 12:01 showing.

And another thing, it also has a nearly 80% Rotten Tomatoes score. When the critics give 4 out of 5 good reviews to a big budget summer action movie (most of which they hate), its usually an indicator that it's at least enjoyable. Call me suspicious of your "review".

I'll be there at 12:01 tonight for the real first release showing.

It would be impossible to be worse than the 2nd Indy movie with the gawdawful actress as his sidekick and the annoying kid whose presence was more grating than Jar Jar binks in Star Wars.

Is it even worse than “Pirates of the Caribbean—At World’s End”? That was the lamest sequel EVER.

I suppose it is possible to miss the fact that these movies are parodies — all of them — but I can’t see how.

The Ark of the Covenant sought by Nazis as a WMD? Did you even see the second movie, the one about the magic rocks?

I didn’t think so.

I read one review that said Indy had lost his job in the 1950’s Red Scare.

How did they portray this and is the movie in general overly political?

"The Man in the Hat is Back!" Great movie, saw it last night with the family; While older and a bit slower, Indy hasn't missed a beat, it was just like old times and lots of fun.

The Comunist Russians were the bad guys (its the 50's) who got their comeuppance and students on Indy's campus (they used YALE) were holding a rally with anti communist RED signs reading "Better Dead than RED"!

A good time was had by all. Go see it, you won't be disappointed.

I blame Lucas, who hasn’t written a decent script since “Empire Strikes Back.” Spielberg can only do so much with such sh-ty material.

The only thing to say about this movie is that I think George Lucas can be declared officially insane now.
