Since moving to central Europe, the origins of people fascinates me. I am mostly interested in the origin of the Hungarian language, as it is related to Finish, far to the NW, and not in the path of migration from the East and through the Caucauses. There is little doubt that Europeans came from more then one direction, but if you are “white”, i.e. Caucasian, you may very well have origins in the east through those mountains.

It is also interesting that both Hungary, and its neighbor
Romania (Latin language), are completely surrounded by Serbic language countries. I agree that you can't lump everyone into one of the three groups, but it is a start, just as you start with the 3 primary colors. Jessie Jackson is obviously negroid. George Bush is obviously caucasian. Hu Jintao is obviously Mongoloid.

You’ve pretty much cut to the heart of this controversy.

Obama is hiding something.
Something that is simply embarrassing.... or...
Something that is explosive.

We have a candidate running for the presidency of the United States of America, arguably the most politically important position on Earth. This is all the moreso because of the struggle that is building between the West [in general] and the U.S.A. [in particular] vs. Islam.

Of course it’s reasonable to expect that someone running for the presidency must be properly vetted in order to gain the public trust, and thus win the election before us.

But Obama is trying to stonewall us on this. He may even be trying to deliberately deceive us with a document that may be phony.

Again, what is he hiding?

Let me pose a question - and let me direct this PARTICULARLY to those individuals who keep showing up on these threads claiming this is a “non-issue”:

Put yourself in the shoes of Obama, or consider what your own position might be as a candidate for high office...
What snippet of information could possibly be so embarrassing that you would endeavor to hide information (in this case ESSENTIAL information, in order to be Constitutionally qualified to hold the office being sought) from public view?

I cannot imagine a similar controversy engulfing ANY Republican candidate for major office in which that candidate could not survive politically unless he/she “came clean” and allowed access to such historical information. You and I know the media would be hounding the candidate UNTIL full disclosure was attained.

Whatever is being kept hid strikes me as NOT merely belonging to “the category of embarrassment”. If that is true, what about the _other_ category I mentioned above?

Also consider that the mainstream media is doing their best to ignore this. They know EXACTLY how damaging this could become to the Obama campaign.

This is why the “pajamas media” - such as FreeRepublic - should keep hammering on it, until it “breaks out” beyond which point the mainstream can no longer keep the controversy under wraps.

Theoldmarine says it plainly: there is only one way to “settle” this issue. There is only one way to transform it into a “non-issue”.

If Obama is in possession of his original birth certificate (NOT a copy), he must allow it to be seen by reporters and examined by professionals.

If the original is still existant in Hawaiian archives, then Obama must give consent that the original (or microfilmed copy of the original, or microfiched copy of the original) must be made available to reporters and professionals who can examine it and comment on its authenticity.

Only then should we agree to “drop the issue”.

Only then will I be convinced that there is nothing on the original document that suggests that he may not be qualified to serve as president of the United States.

There are quite a few differences. The one with the seal appears to be a fairly current copy, bleed through stamp from back is from 2002.

Notice the differences. Font is different, border is different. Many other differences. Just kind of weird.

My husband had to get a new birth certificate because his old one was torn...he got a computerized birth certificate....they don’t type out certificates anymore...everything is computer generated.

Here's a question that's been bothering me. Perhaps its been previously answered but I haven't seen it. So far as I can tell Obama did not issue the copy of his BC that's been floating around for the last week or so. The Daily Kos issued it. But why would they do it *instead* of Obama himself doing it?

Perhaps to ask the question is to already answer it.

Thanks for the tip: the "birth certificate"--KOS posted a completely different document and tried to slip it by the unsuspecting--is ongoing. No actual birth certificate has been published, as far as I know. We've mentioned the document brouhaha in passing. But, as you're aware, if you took every whack-job KOS article to task, that's all you'd get done doing. One of our guys--who is an attorney in Hawaii--is currently in the process of trying to run down a copy of the real Obama birth certificate. So far, he's "come up empty"--but he's a bulldog and I expect he'll turn something up in the next few weeks--hopefully.
