You need to do what I do when I read statements like these. I go searching. I posted the below link before if I recall on this thread..
Here is the Wayne Madsen report. Doesn't exactly confirm his birth took place in Kenya. But there is still the question as to weather this was JUST a registration (like emplied), or an official Birth Certificate from Kenya.

The link doesn't work. And I don't recall and don't have ready access to know whether S.Res.511 ultimately became the "sense of the Senate" resolution that was adopted or was the bill that was introduced to amend Sec. 1401.
Clare McKaskill of Missouri was one of the sponsers of both and you don't list her at all.

Forgery Revealed in Kos Publication of Obama ‘Birth Certificate’ (updated)

This is an issue that isn’t going away for the Obama campaign and unless they address it in an effort to put it to bed, it will become one of those “distractions” the candidate really hates:
A few weeks ago, a diary entry at Daily Kos published several documents purporting to be Obama’s birth certificate. One of those documents is now a confirmed forgery, ferreted out by the website Israeli Insider:
Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fake Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same Daily Kos blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider’s revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the diligent detective work of independent investigative journalists (led by JimJ and Texas Darling) and imaging professionals such as Polarik in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate The Daily Kos, a “progressive” blog site, and the Obama campaign’s “Fight the Smears” website, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance. Moreover, the blog and the campaign have been negligent in allowing the promotion of obviously forged and fake official documents together with the purported image of Obama’s birth certificate.

Two things: First, the Obama campaign should have known the document was a forgery because ostensibly, they have the original. If they did know, suspicion of why they allowed the fake to stay out there without debunking it themselves leads us to the question of “why?”
Secondly, it is now the fault of the campaign that this is an issue. They know darn well that there has been this churning on the interet about this issue and if it now makes the jump to the mainstream medai, they have no one to blame but themselves.
Just what is on the birth certificate that could be problematic? Some speculate it lists his religion as “Muslim” which would no doubt cause him some difficulty. There may be a question regarding his citizenship although I think that particular theory is much less likely. There is enough evidence that Obama was born in Hawaii to discount the idea he is not a “natural born” citizen. Other, even wilder theories are out there having to do with his real father and the citizenship of his mother.
If they are hiding something, it’s about time that they come clean. Even if it is damaging, there is plenty of time to overcome whatever is on the certificate - at least there is time for a typical Obama explanation to be put out and accepted by his devotees in the press.
It is case that is getting curiouser and curiouser...

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it, but this may be a fishing expedition by the Obama afectionados. The bait is he is not a legitimate candidate. They could let the the conservatives run with this and then set the hook suddenly by providing the original birth certificate. This proof of the right being wrong would make a terrific slogan in some way to obviate any and all rumors.
A better tactic on our part would be to wonder, “why Obama and his supporters don’t put this rumor to rest...” Tacitly assuming his claims but questioning why he cannot easily and quickly answer evidence to the contrary would be a better tactic in IMHO.

I don't know what to make of this issue. But as to the point that you make above, I'm not sure that I agree. The Natural-Born Citizen requirment has so far been such a basic requirement that few people (till now) have given it a second thought. Does anybody at the DNC or RNC actually check these things? I kinda doubt it. Maybe they should start.

When was that amendment passed?
If the amendment was made after Obama's birth, then he might be considered a "Citizen at birth," if he was born in Kenya, but he would not be a Natural Born Citizen.
In order to be a "Natural Born Citizen" you must have been born a Citizen and not made a citizen by legislative fiat. Congress does have the power to make anyone a citizen, or even a "citizen at birth", but they do not have the power to make a "Natural Born Citizen" out of a person who was not a citizen at the time of his birth.
Raycpa raises the issue of Sec. 1409 which provides on its face for citizenship for certain persons born out of wedlock and outside the US to at least one US parent. A complete answer is set out on my legal analysis thread Friday morning. However Marlowe is correct again on the answer but a summary of the technical is here.
The actual effective date is found in the effective date notes under 8 USC 1101 and is from Section 309(b)(15) of Pub. L. 102-232 which provides that "The amendments made by section 8 of the Immigration Technical Corrections Act of 1988 [Pub. L. 100-525], amending this section, sections . . . 1409 . . . shall be effective as if included in the enactment of the Immigration and Nationality Act Amendments of 1986 (Public Law 99-653)." That Act, as set out above, applies only to persons born after November, 1986 and is thus inapplicable to Obama. Note further, that to be subject to this provision, he is going to have to demonstrate he was born out of wedlock--on the current record, he claims his parents were married. And most important, he will need to demonstrate that he was born outside the US--thus disqualifying him from serving as President under Article II, Sec. 1, Par. 4 of the Constitution which is presumably the essential question.

I can not believe Free Republic is allowing this forgery to remain on their site! If you look at this ADMITTED forgery, you will see some marks that also appear on the fake KOS copy leading readers to wonder if this Freeper is the source of both documents.

Oh, absolutely. I agree 100%. Obama should just provide a proper, certified copy of his birth certificate to one of the media outlets (CNN, for example) to put an end to all this idle speculation. He won’t, of course. He just hopes we all forget about it.
