“You are libeling Stanley Ann by saying you think she’s too stupid to figure out how to get her and her new husband off to visit his parents.”

What an asinine comment.

Probably

You are the one calling her a felon and fraud artist who lies on Govt forms.

Nope. I said that a new mommy who thought her son had lost US citizenship due to circumstances beyond her control, to wit:

She planned to give birth in Hawai'i = Automatic US citizenship
Airline rules prevented her from flying back near full term

She planned on giving birth in wedlock = Married american mother = Automatic US citizenship.
Oooops The new hubby already has a wife back home = IN HER MIND, birth out of wedlock, in a foreign land = IN HER MIND no automatic US citizenship.

She hasn't had the luxury of a bunch of experts in US law hashing it over for weeks. She believes she's muffed it, thanks to an airline rule she didn't expect.

In the past few months she's been on a total roller coaster. She's been starry-eyed in love, pregnant and unwed, married, going on the adventure of her life to meet the in-laws, jet-lagged, betrayed-met one too many in-laws in the new hubby's other wife, stuck 10,000 miles away from friends and family, morning sick, hormonal, probably sick from odd local bugs and odder foods, homesick, and depressed.

And now she thinks her baby won't be let into the US as a citizen. She's wrong, but that's what she thinks will happen to a bastard born on foreign soil.

She sees one narrow chance to give her baby a good life, get him home where she intended to have him, and tell a little white lie that says that is where she had him.

All I have said of her character is that she's a new mommy who wants the best for her baby, and so desperately wants what she had planned and intended to be true actually be true, that she tries to make it true, at least officially.

I have accused her of been a human who made one more mistake in a long chain of mistakes. This doesn't make her an evil person. It makes her human. It makes her a mother.

Was Barak born in Honolulu? Probably. But the only document offered to show us that is is a poor resolution electronic copy of a document that shows identical artifacts to a known bad document.

You have made the conscious choice to believe with all your soul that this blurry document, with all it's known flaws is an absolute reflection of TRUTH and REALITY. After all, it's on green paper, and he posted it on his web site, and it says it's an OFFICIAL DOCUMENT, so it must be true!

Ever been in court? Ever been divorced? Sued?

Let me assure you, people do lie under oath ALL THE TIME. I don't and given your attitude, I am certain you don't either, but you and I aren't everyone.

You are asking me to uncritically accept a document that looks bad on its face simply because a brand new mom filed it on behalf of her itty-bitty baby.

Show me ANY supporting document.

A hospital record of birth? None has been offered, indeed, the hospital originally claimed as his birthplace hadn't even been built when he was born.
A birth announcement in the Honolulu Advertiser? None reported.
A note in the family Bible or koran? Nope. Nothing there, either.
The personal recollections of a doctor, midwife, friend or neighbor? Silence.

You can't show me reports of people who claim to have been there at his birth in Honolulu, but I can show you reports of people who claim to have attended his birth in Kenya.

You said A jaunt half-way round the world would be incredibly ill-advised for a near-term woman,

Agreed. But remember she wasn't near full term at the start of the adventure, and I submit she didn't intend to stay anywhere near as long as she ended up staying.

stupendously expensive,

Yes. Once-in-a-lifetime events often are.

and amazingly gratuitous.

Like all honeymoons.

It would be further incredible that this amazing trip would have ZERO record in any of barack’s family’s mind.

It would be, that's why the reported personal recollections of his birth by members of his extended family in Africa are crucial. Your simply denying that these recollections were reported won't make them cease to exist.

No pictures or postcards,

And none from Hawai'i either. No notes to mom and dad back on the mainland.

I am merely saying this: Things that have no real record of happening didnt happen.

There is no record of the invention of the wheel, nor the taming of fire. There is no record of where you were on August 3rd 1997, did you not exist that day?

It’s not too hard of a rule to follow.

Given a choice between following a rule and following the data, I'll follow the data, thankyouverymuch.

“The plan was visit the folks over the summer, and be back in time for the joys of childbirth. Then the airlines blocked it. What now?"

And your invented scenario has what evidence to back it up? ...

Personal testimony of multiple relatives who claim to have attended his birth in Africa.

You keep making up fantasy scenarios

You keep confusing my speculations with reality

that are not based in reality.

You keep ignoring bits of reality that conflict with your conclusions, namely family members in Africa say they were there when he was born, the document he presents as his BC on his web site looks like a clumsy copy, there are no other records (hospital, family Bible, birth announcement, etc.) to back up the clumsy copy.

Occam’s Razor. Try using it, your shaggy dog stories are getting too shaggy.

I shaved your dog. Under all that fuzzy reasoning, I found something that looks and smells remarkably like a 'rat...

I think Nulley's #2341 is a pretty fair response to WOSG's comments which are really pretty excessive in tone.

Whatever the merits, there is a body of news reports and investigative effort that suggests that there is no support for the proposition that he was born in Honolulu and at least a reasonable inference he was born in Kenya.

And the current look at the issue is addressed to a course of events that might have resulted in the actors being placed in that position.

The reason I wanted to address your post is the comment on the marriage--if they were married, I am reasonably confident that it stands up and Obama is not illegitimate and doesn't get under Sec. 1409, even if 1409 is in fact applicable. And I also take the marriage as a given because of the record of the divorce although I have not yet found the file--recitation of the content of the pleadings is accurate as far as the grounds are concerned and leads you to think the pleading exists. And gives us an excuse to look for what counsel said about where the marriage was contracted in the first place.

Not disbelieving you here but you say that you can show us testimony of family members in Kenya who say Obama was born there. Where can we see that?

I would love to see those. I have seen only speculation and hearsay. I am truly interested in seeing those because so many on this thread claim to have personal knowledge of this testimony. Where is it?
