Yeah, that's what I thought too. However, the presence of the birth certificate issued in HI under the name Soetoro doesn't seem to be a problem, as it only reflects him being adopted by his mom's 2nd husband. It only indicates that there might be the other birth certificate, pressumably issued when he was born. But again, he could have been born in HI only with a different name. The possible real issue is if he was born in Kenya, but I haven't seen any indication about that. He could have been born in Indonesia too, but there's no indication about that either.

Fake ID is taken pretty seriously these days. Unless all of these reports are discredited, I think that some of us should look a ‘few moves ahead’.

Switching candidates late in a race can throw the rival off-balance. Many are trying to figure out how McCain can beat OB. I was looking forward to this political massacre. But let's face it— there's a good chance we'll be facing someone else. Most likely, it will be Hillary.

The Clintons have experience with switching candidates. Does anyone remember Torricelli / Loutenburg? Doug Forrester was cleaning Torricelli's clock. Frankly, I've heard of worse scandals than having illegal gifts, but Forrester was running a brilliant campaign. Guess who flew over to trip him up? Bill Clinton. He convinced Torricelli to drop out. [Yes, I realize that the NJ Soprano Court broke the law with their ruling, but that's an aside just now.]

Bill Clinton convinced Torricelli to step aside, and then Forrester found himself facing the Lout. He did not have enough time to shift his campaign. Forrester lost. I hope we are not caught flatfooted in this important election. The Clintons are almost as radical as Obama and ten times more corrupt. They have experience; they know how DC works. They know how the media works. And if there are no 527s that rise up quickly enough and expose the Clintons AND the Rodham Brothers, I believe McCain will lose.

McCain will call for a ‘clean’ and neutered campaign. It will be tempting since the Black vote will be dispirited. RINOs will say that 'Monica' proves that the Clintons are teflon. They aren't. You can't pardon terrorists, pardon crack manufacturers, and have 'pardon fees' sent to relatives/inlaws without paying a political price, unless you are running against wimps.

The issue has become not whether the circumstances and loacation of Obama/Soetoro’s birth qualify or disqualifiy him from the Presidency, but whether the forging and alteration of official documents does.

Given the apparent fact that Maya Seotoro’s Hawaii birth certificate (itself questionable) was used as the basis for the forgery, it seems unlikely that Obama/Soetoro will be able to credibly claim innocence in the affair.

His goose is cooked, and I think he knows it.

If Obama/Soetoro went to Jakarta to acquire an Indonesian passport in order to gain entrance to Pakistan, it’s likely he would have had to renounce his American citizenship to be granted the document since Indonesia doesn’t allow adults to hold dual citizenship. If this theory is correct, he would have been 19 or 20 years old at the time he said bye-bye to America.

Once he renounced his American citizenship as an adult two possibilities exist, both of which are deal killers for his aspirations to be POTUS. (1) he’s never renounced the Indonesian citizenship he took in order to acquire the passport and is in fact NOT a U.S. citizen (2)at some point, he renounced his Indonesian citizenship and reacquired his American citizenship through the same process Arnold Swarzennegger did.....naturalization.

All in all, what irks most people following this story line on the web-based investigations, is that Obama has lied, hid information, and seems to have no scruples when it comes to a criminal act like forging an official document then allowing it to be shown on the internet!

There are lots of Democrats who are outraged at these kinds of activities.

But McCain was born in Panama. No amount of mumbo-jumbo or laying on of hands from well-meaning Senators can change the words or implicit meaning of our Constitution.

It the Soetoro certificate exists and is genuine (I have pretty severe doubts) then the only ways I can see for Obama's present certificate to also be genuine would be:

If Obama was re-adopted by Barack Obama Sr., which seems doubtful.
If the Soetoro adoption took place after 2007, which is absurd.

The Soetoro certificate would raise an interesting question, though: how should one be expected to prove where one was actually born, since a birth certificate for an adopted child would not necessarily show that?
