As the lipstick war rages, Barack Obama is standing up for the rights of suspected terrorists

On Monday in Michigan, Obama became exercised when talking about the need to give even suspected terrorists legal rights.

“We may think this is Mohammed the terrorist,’’ he said at a campaign rally, but “it might be Mohammed the cab driver. You might think it’s Barack the bomb thrower. But it might be Barack the guy running for president.’’

Continuing, he got more heated, his voice booming. Referring to the Constitution, he said: “Don’t mock the Constitution! Don’t make fun of it! Don’t suggest that it’s un-American to abide by what the founding fathers set up! It’s worked pretty well for 200 years!!’’

He finished with a sigh: “These people."

IIRC, the first two amendments of that constitution are the right to bitterly cling to your religion and the right to bitterly cling to your guns, respectively.

Obama wants to extend the rights guaranteed Americans in the Constitution to foreign terrorists captured on foreign soil. This has nothing to do with our Constitution. It has everything to do with his knee-jerk reflex to protect and coddle America's enemies in a life-death struggle he seems not to understand.

My screen name was chosen because there were reports that people who posted under handles that allowed them to be identified had a curious habit of getting audited by the IRS during the Clinton years. This place was being bombarded by a bunch of disrupters who some suspected were working for the Dems or the White House. In fact, I think someone traced some of the IPs. So, I changed my handle after I had been here about a year, but wanted my new handle to symbolize that I would never give in to leftist thugs, even if I had to be more anonymous in stating my opinion.

***That’s EXACTLY why I chose my original screenname: “Don’t Wanna Be Audited”. But it was so hokey I couldn’t remember it and I had that database problem with FR where we lost our login names for a while, and so after a few years of posting under a newer name, I asked JimRob to change my old name to Kevmo... The thing was, by having a screenname like “Don’t Wanna Be Audited”, I was probably more of a target by the IRS because they figure I have something to hide.

Seems to me that Obama is becoming unglued.

Obama is like a football team or a boxer who has easy opponents until they/he get to the championship game/bout. Then when faced with real competition, they wilt under pressure and are exposed for the posers they are. That’s what Obama reminds of.

Their campaign must see some bad news brewing in their internal polling there to be saying such things in Michigan. They are trying to drive the Arab turnout with this message. This is a clear sign of desperation. They must see Michigan being a VERY close race.

The Obama campaign have been acting scared to death during the past few days. Pay no attention to their ads and campaign surrogates. Just look at where they are and what they are saying. Obama has been spending allot of time in ‘Kerry states’ of late. So has McCain.
