The more people learn, the worse the truth of the situation sounds:
But fair-minded people who find out a little about Wooten are bound to conclude that the real scandal is why he wasn’t fired well before Palin became governor.
By the time Mrs. Palin was inaugurated in December 2006, an internal state trooper investigation had concluded he had used a Taser on his 10-year-old stepson, illegally shot a moose, drunk beer in a patrol car, and told others his father-in-law would “eat a f***ing lead bullet” if he helped his daughter get an attorney for the divorce.
Apparently because of intense public-safety union lobbying on Mr. Wooten’s behalf, instead of being fired for breaking the law and violating trooper policies, he was suspended for a grand total of 10 days in March 2006.

Shouldn’t that be “ex-brother-in-law”. Just an innocent mistake by the drive-by “journalist” I’m sure.

Biden is a DEMOCRAT. Democrats are EXEMPT from media scrutiny, didn’t you know that?
As if providing us a ‘Rust Belt’ wasn’t enough, this is just one more reason to despise unions. Aren’t they singularly responsible for the high quality government school teachers we enjoy today?
Once people hear that he tased his step son, they know that he should have been fired, just for that. Add the other to it and you have an abusive person who should not be given a gun.
Unions CAN be good, but they have to have their own internal regulations that allow them to remove a member from the union for certain offenses.
Even the ex-brother in law agrees that he should not have done and said what he did and he supports Gov. Palin, according to something I read elsewhere. I think there’s a YouTube of part of an interview with him. I don’t have time to go looking, maybe someone else does.
And just remember . . . not everyone in Alaska likes Sarah Palin . . . there is 13% of a population under 200,000 who are liberal and wouldn’t like her no matter what. The Juneau newspaper and TV station are controlled by the liberals, as I recall, too.
This story has a lot of depth: Union bosses, corruption, pure A$$#0[@s, Sarah being victimized but not acting like a victim and rising above it, and the MSM trying to paint her as the antagonist in this thing. This would make a great freeping movie.
