For Obama, the whole mess is not a time for national unity; it is, rather, great political fodder. This morning, in an effort to extract political gain from the situation, he issued a statement, which said in part:
“The fact that we have reached a point where the Federal Reserve felt it had to take this unprecedented step with the American Insurance Group is the final verdict on the failed economic philosophy of the last eight years.”
American Insurance Group? For $85 billion, Obama and his big government, tax and spend economic advisers apparently don’t fret too much over the details in an effort to make their partisan jabs. One wonders if that $85 billion United States Treasury check would even cash had Obama’s Treasury Secretary made it out incorrectly to one “American Insurance Group.”
After the glaring error was pointed out, the Obama campaign quietly issued a corrected statement.

I suggest re-naming the teleprompter the telobamaprompter in honor of the Chosen One.
Obama just doesn’t get it! The devil is in the details and Barry doesn’t pay much attention to the details!

Obama makes much of the fact that after graduating president of the Harvard Law Review he could have gone to Wall Street and collected a big paycheck, but instead became a “community organizer.”
But had he gone to Wall Street for a least a couple of years he MIGHT have learned at least the first thing about the American and international business world and perhaps would have heard of AIG before this crisis.
Obama has had NO exposure of ANY kind to actual business. Growing up he was exposed only to Marxist theories of his leftwing mother and grandfather, the communist Frank Marshall Davis, etc. In high school he focused on sports, partying, and his “black identity.” At Occidental, he (by his own account) sought out and hung around lefties. It need not be pointed out how little contact a political science major at Columbia or a law student at Harvard would have with anything resembling the world of business.
And as a community organizer, Obama spent his time trying to get the City of Chicago to remove asbestos from its housing project, trying to get the City of Chicago to open a summer jobs office near its housing project, getting out the vote for ACORN, etc.
The nearest thing to the business world Obama has ever had contact with would have been the slum landlord business of Rezko, in which Rezko applied for government subsidies for low-income housing and took the money without providing the housing.
Also, had Obama gone to Wall Street for a couple of years, he might not have had to do his sleazy deal with Rezko to buy a nice house and we wouldn’t have had to hear Michelle whine about having to repay student loans and pay for piano and ballet lessons.

No grades and no Thesis exit either.
