The Drumbeat - MUST read
The American Thinker ^ | 9/20/2008 | Wm. Staneski

The drumbeat. It's always there. Day and night. Rain or shine. Winter or Summer. Sunday or Monday. It comes at you from every direction. It comes over the TV, the radio, at work, at school, in music, in the newspapers, from the politicians, in conversation with others, even in church. It wears you down. It robs you of the will to resist its message.

From the comments in the article:

“It may be too late to do anything about this as the world plays out its story.”

“Well, it may only be too late to do anything polite about it.”

Very well put.

All that ensures that a culture will pass its ideas down from one generation to the next is its cultural memory. The drumbeat is slowly but surely replacing our cultural memory.

As each school is renamed and the name of a Founder or other great person from our history is removed from its entrance way, we lose a bit of that memory. As our great authors and works of Western culture are replaced with those in line with the message of the drumbeat, we rapidly lose our cultural memory. As each school textbook is rewritten to reflect the new ideas of family and cultural heritage, our children are lost to the forces of the drumbeat as they learn to view America and traditional Western culture as oppressive and imperialistic. And it doesn't take long for there to be only a shell left, the substance of our culture sucked out and destroyed by the cultural Marxists.

Marxism is our nation's **most** serious threat. It isn't islamofascism.

K-12 schools and our colleges and universities are the Marxists' **most** powerful weapon. If the Marxists succeed in indoctrinating the next generation of voters we will lose all freedom in the voting booth.

By the way, it really ticks me off that Rush Limbaugh **rarely** identifies these Marxists as being Marxists. He rarely identifies the philosophy that underlies all liberalism and leftism as being Marxist. While he takes pot shots at schools I have never heard him identify Marxism as being the major problem in our government schools.

Rush Limbaugh, one of the most powerful voices on the right, really is a big fat idiot if he can 't see this. If he is too afraid to call the enemy what it is ( Marxism) then he is a big fat coward.

We will **not** win unless we start calling the enemy what it is: MARXISM!!!

Yes, I am shouting. It is past time that someone did.

I heard Rush react once when someone asked why he doesn’t call them what they are and he responded that he thinks they’d stop listening...they’d shut off their ears if he started throwing around a label like socialist or whatever - he feels it would be a barrier to communication if they felt they were tagged something they don’t see themself as

I enjoyed the article...thanks for posting.

However my opinion is the drumbeat of the left is not as inherently powerful as it sometimes seems, because it is a big lie that is contrary to spiritual law.

The reason we have not been vanquished is because we hold a view of the world that acknowledges the power of the individual, which is true and in accordance with spiritual law...so we are happier and more creative and more successful because we trust in a higher power. We get things done and exercise personal power in a way that I don’t believe can be achieved by the left.

The left is arguing for humanity’s limitations. Their atheism denies the interior self, and the drones who choose to buy into their world view effectively renounce their power. So they moan and complain and gnash their teeth but nothing is really created by them. This is why their narrative (such as failure in Iraq) is so often overtaken by actual events. Their world-view renders them impotent at a fundamental level.

So I’m optimistic for our future....one small candle illuminates a darkened room, and we are many.

If you go to Amazon.com and search for books on Marxism -

The first book returned on search, The Meaning of Marxism, is given a 5 star rating with this review: "In [D'Amato's] able hands, Marxist politics come alive and leap before us, pointing a way toward a better world. It's a knockout"

The 2nd written BY a marxist.

The 3rd is given Amazon's review: "Marx and Engels's critique of capitalism and its deleterious effect on all aspects of life, from the increasing rift between the classes to the destruction of the nuclear family, has proven remarkably prescient. Their spectre, manifested in the Manifesto's vivid prose, continues to haunt the capitalist world, lingering as a ghostly apparition even after the collapse of those governments which claimed to be enacting its principles."

Some Freeper out there needs to write "Wake UP! A History Lesson on Marxism for American Liberals" Where's Ann Coulter!?

Hm?....So, Rush thinks his audience is stupid. If so, then he really is a big fat idiot!
