WITCH-HUNT: The Sarah Palin Chronicles
Pagan Power ^ | October 11, 2008 | Pagan Power

We've all seen the headlines. According to the MSM Obamedia, Sarah Palin has been found to have abused her power as Governor by reassigning one of her appointees to another job. Mysteriously missing from this claim is the fact that as Governor she has the legal right to do so to any appointee at any time, regardless of what anyone thinks about it. So in fact, Sarah did not abuse her power, she exercised it. And that seems to be what the uproar is all about.

There is not a single fact in the 263 page report that clearly demonstrates beyond reasonable doubt that Sarah did anything wrong. The investigator himself states that although he found no evidence of wrong doing, it was his opinion that other factors may have contributed to Monegan's reassignment. He then characterizes this reassignment as a firing, which it clearly is not. Monegan resigned, which is a well established matter of record. He wasn't fired, he quit.

Stephen Branchflower Report To The Legislative Council

I find that, although Walt Monegan's refusal to fire Trooper Michael Wooten was not the sole reason he was fired by Governor Sarah Palin, it was likely a contributing factor to his termination as Commissioner of Public Safety. In spite of that, Governor Palin's firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads.

So how did this come about and why is it just now being revealed? As should come as no surprise, this witch-hunt and smear campaign is a carefully orchestrated attempt by an Alaskan Democratic State Senator named Hollis French, an outspoken supporter of Barack Obama. French was so confident he had the goods on Sarah that he bragged in September he had an October surprise in store, just in time to influence the election. Read more of this entry>>

I declare Bill Clinton abused his power by taking the oath of office.

Just because the people elected him does not mean he had to choose to serve.

actually. reading the full report indicates that those who were trying to find out information about the complaint against Wooten were justified. And that the police were at fault in witholding information. And, that the firing was legal and justified.

Exactly. Insubordination will get you fired from any job on the planet. Apparently he was a pious bastage that refused to fire a Trooper who had tazered his own son, drove under the influence, threatened the Governors father, and tried to go over the Governors head to get funding when his budget was cut. All in all, it doesn't sound very smart. It doesn't sound like this character ever did anything the way the Governor wanted it done. Ask any Trooper what happens when the Governor isn't happy with your performance.

Once, the Governor of Alabama won a large basket full of peaches from a friendly bet over a football game with another Governor, I'm assuming it was Georgia (the Peach State). The basket sat outside the Governors office and a Trooper standing guard there was told to keep an eye on it.

He ate exactly one peach.... just one.... and was fired.

One peach. And here we're talking about the chief Trooper of Alaska being insubordinate on budget and other matters. I hope that puts it in perspective.

I prefer to withhold the term “witch” for use in describing the acts of Hillary or Pelosi!
