Obama's half-sister's name found on "his birth certificate" posted on campaign's official site

Claim: Obama's "birth certificate" forged with sister Maya's original By Israel Insider staff August 5, 2008

Independent analysts, working separately, claim to have discovered that the original Hawaiian Certificate of Live Birth used in the fabrication of the Barack Obama "birth certificate" belongs to the Presidential candidate's younger half-sister, Maya.

Examining the high resolution image originally posted by the "Daily Kos" left-wing blog and subsequently claimed as authentic by the campaign, and posted in lower resolution on the campaign official "Fight the Smears" website, at least two analysts have been able to independently discern the name "Maya Kassandra Soetoro" from artifacts left behind in the process of forging a new fake document for Barack from an image of Maya's original document. Additional confirmatory information, such as her birthday and the nationality of her father have also been resurrected. A full report documenting all details is to be published in the coming days. Israel Insider has not yet seen proof that would validate the claim.

No, I protest people wasting their time and energy on these fantasies while there's a hard-fought campaign going on in the real world. This certificate stuff will be nothing more than a footnote about silliness that occurred in the 2008 election.

Obtaining original documentation with footprints from the hospital of Obama Jr's birth is an easily accomplished task, given a mandate from the FEC. Why the Berg case is not advancing more quickly is of interest.

What a waste of brain cycles you are spinning to try to get us to shut up about this most fundamental of requirements.

OF COURSE OBAMA NEEDS TO PRESENT HIS AUTHENTIC CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH.

THERE IS NO RATIONALIZING, NO DOUBLE TALKING, NO SMOKE SCREENING, NO CHANGING THE SUBJECT, NO INSULTING THE QUESTIONER AROUND IT.

IF HE WINS, BEFORE HE IS SWORN IN, IT IS MATTER OF LAW. THIS WILL ONLY GET HIGHER IN PROFILE.

PERIOD.

That doesn’t say he was a “fraud”. That says he was bowing out because of threats and harrassment.

I’m not seeing anything that says Techdude was a fraud. His very thorough analysis is in the link at post #89, and there is no update to that effect. Do you have a source?

That being said, the hatchmarks seem to muddy up around most of the typing. That’s definitely suspect.
No. It simply is not suspect. In fact, it's completely predictable.

My comment to Brown Deer was a bit technical, but here's the deal: JPEG (which was used to encode this image) is a "lossy" compression. That means that the compressed image may suffer some distortion. This is a price you pay for better compression. PNG (pronounced "ping") files use a lossless compression, but they are usually much larger than a JPEG of the same image.

On of the distortions that is characteristic of JPEG images occurs around sharp edges. The "discrete cosine transform" used to encode the image is really good on smoothly-shaded things, but it has a very difficult time with sharp edges (we call these "delta functions"). The result is the distortion that you are seeing.

It's not suspect. It's math. Complex math (in more ways than one), but math and nothing more.

Also there was another birth announcement for August 5, so the paper must have been a weekly.

Remember when Bambi, Hillary and McCain had their passport files breached in the spring? Take a look at the link posted below from MSNBO dealing with the contract employees that breached the files.

CHECK OUT THESE HIGHLIGHTS!!!

Looks like the Clintonistas beat Obambi to the passport files...more than once. Wonder what they found?? Bet we will know pretty soon.

Passport scandal leads to Virginia contractors

By Jim Popkin and Libby Leist, NBC News

Two of the government contractors who accessed Sen. Barack Obama’s passport records worked for a Virginia-based firm called Stanley, Inc., the company said in a statement. A third contractor who looked at passport information for Sen. Obama and Sen. John McCain worked for a company called The Analysis Corporation, the State Department said.

SNIP

Stanley, Inc., is headquartered in Arlington, Va. The State Department awarded it a contract for $164 million in 2006, to print and mail millions of new U.S. passports. Stanley announced on Monday that it was awarded an additional $570 million contract to “continue support of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs/Passport Services Directorate.”

One Stanley, Inc., contractor looked at Obama’s passport records on January 9, and then a second Stanley employee accessed similar Obama records on February 21, U.S. officials familiar with the controversy told NBC News.

Who are these contracting firms?

Stanley manages more than 1,800 personnel who work on State Department contracts, the company said, and processes over 18 million passports annually.

Stanley’s 2006 Contract:

After the State Department awarded the contract to Stanley in 2006, the firm announced it would build a new facility in Hot Springs, Ark., to handle the massive contract. Arkansas governor and former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee expressed his delight that the new building would be located in his state.

“We’re excited to welcome the State Department and Stanley to Arkansas. After working with the company for the past year to secure this contract, we believe this will be a successful long-term public and private partnership with the people of Arkansas,” Huckabee said at the time.

why has he not produced it for the PA lawsuit and have the suit dismissed? simple solution, then all the speculation will be put to rest. I for one want to know WHO in the U.S. government has confirmed his citizenship, when and how. Settle this and it goes away. it’s not up to some blog to do the job.

FactCheck.org was created by Walter Annenberg, a billionaire and lifelong conservative Republican. When you smear the Annenberg name you are smearing the guy in the middle in this picture

FALSE - Walter Annenberg died on October 1, 2002. FactCheck.org was not created until September 29, 2003.

Factcheck.org credibility in question: They swapped out their high quality photo images for low-quality ones, while claiming, all the while, that "nothing was ever done to the original photos."

I’m not sure what you’re addressing. My original question (in post #94)was to Political junkie too, who claimed that Techdude was discovered to be a fraud. You responded to that with a post showing Techdude was bowing out because of threats.

Appears there are a few things you don’t know.
Y'know. I really should consider changing my user name. I thought people would think it was funny (there's so much great humor on FR), but usually people just make snide remarks about it when I'm arguing with them.

Sigh.

Notice that there is a 9-day delay from the supposed date of his birth to the announcement in the paper which wouldn't be so much back then, but it is over a week.

lol, I noticed that right away.

One of the problem these foundations have, is over time the purpose for which they were set up changes. This is because either the “family loses” interest, dies or set the management of the foundation on what they thought was “management autopilot” and somehow the “management autopilot” is broken. The MacArthur Foundation is a good example. (Has nothing to do with Douglas MacArthur no relation!) Over time “activists; of most left-wing flavor take control and soon these foundations are funding things that the founder would find to be abhorrent. (There was either a National Review or American Spectator article about this phenomenon.)
Has that happened to the Annenberg Foundation? Well if Ayers is involved with it in some then I guess so !
Remember Ayers’s father was very wealthy, politically influential and was probably able to extend a fair amount of “protection” to his son. Also Ayers was connected to the Daley Machine, and now so is the son.
