As I suggested in a previous post, Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer might appeal the decision by the US Court of Appeals requiring her to verify voter registrations to the Supreme Court. Well, unfortunately I was correct.

If county election officials can’t verify that mismatched Ohioans are qualified to vote, they can ask voters to cast provisional ballots rather than regular ones until residency or other identification is checked.Their votes could be counted after Election Day or not counted at all.
Brunner, in an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, said she fears either scenario could cause longer lines, similar to those experienced during the 2004 presidential election, on Nov. 4.
So long lines on election day is apparently considered an unacceptable hardship by Jennifer Brunner. What absolute bunk. What she is attempting to do is eliminate any possibility that we have a fair election in Ohio. Typical for a corrupt Obama supporter.
Have the wrong social security or driver's license number on your registration? No problem. That doesn't mean you can't vote here.
Brunner argues that identifying an incorrect Social Security or driver’s license number should not automatically disqualify a new voter. It should merely trigger further investigation by election officials to ensure the voter is legally qualified to vote from the address they are registered at, she said.
Trigger an investigation? How are they supposed to have an investigation when the information hasn't even been released the to the counties yet?
Just show your ID. Sheesh.

I know that in my area, there is NO “electioneering” allowed within 100 yards of the polling place.

Why hasn’t the USSC issued anything yet? I figure Stevens would have to consult with the others first. Doesn’t the law say they have to check against state records? I am hoping they just let the lower court ruling stand. But I heard a weirdo lefty today agree with Brunner.
We must not do what they do. Let them violate the law, and video tape and report them, take down license plate numbers, get witness. Although i know nothing will happen to them, at least we have remained within the limits of the law. If lawlessness begins, let if be written in history it started with them. Our history books must record the day when the democrats destroyed our nation starting with an election

This is voter suppression because the ID requirement suppresses identity groups and disadvantaged individuals who may have outstanding warrants.

I asked if FReepers could stand guard and watch for people being intimidated.
It is not “lawlessness” to approach such a scene and politely ask the person being intimidated “Is there a problem, here, sir/ma’am?”
Just having witnesses to what they’re doing would probably scare them off.
