Obama's Top 5 Lies about his Abortion Stance

Yeah, yeah. Lies all around from all the candidates, right? All politicians lie -- websites and news organizations form "truth squads" to cut through it all. But my objective here is not debating healthcare platforms or economic plans.

Experts can disagree about those things, but where Obama stands on the issue of abortion -- and the consequences of that stance -- are indisputable. And it indisputably shows that he will say whatever he thinks he has to in order to get elected.

This is his worst offense -- shamelessly trying to capitalize on the compassion of folks who mistakenly believe he is moderate on abortion. They have no idea that he is the most pro-abortion candidate for any office, let alone president, in the history of our country.

No wait, people may be thinking, he said in the last debate that we can find common ground and that can work to reduce unintended pregnancies and therefore have fewer abortions. Yes, he did. But Obama has no intention of seeking common ground on abortion, and his policies in action would surely increase the number of abortions.

Lie #1: "If it sounds incredible that I would vote to withhold lifesaving treatment from an infant, that's because it's not true."

He voted against the "born-alive bill" multiple times! Even all-out abortion special-interest group NARAL didn't take a position against this bill. Obama, who often voted "present" in the Illinois state legislature, not only voted against it multiple times but spoke out against it!

Lie #2:: "...nobody's pro-abortion. I think it's always a tragic situation."

Oh, sure. "Nobody's pro-abuse," either, eh, Obama? Nobody's "pro-murder?" at all? Why that all explains why the abortion, abuse and murder rates are so low in this country, eh?

Lie #3: 3. "Well, I think it's true that we shouldn't apply a strict litmus test [of support for Roe v. Wade for appointment to the Supreme Court] and the most important thing in any judge is their capacity to provide fairness and justice to the American people."

Lie #4: "And I attempted, as many have in the past, of including [a health exception] so that [a ban] is constitutional."

OK, you have a living infant that was just aborted anywhere from 15 minutes ago to hours ago (Jill Stanek, who worked at a Chicago hospital, has said that the years she worked there as many as 10-15% of the abortions resulted in such a temporarily remaining alive situation for that range of time). Tell, us, Barack Barry Husein Obama, what's the health got to do one iota with the life of that baby right there who's still alive? What? If you race in to save that baby, it'll jeopardize "Mom" in the other room? What a pathetic, sorry excuse for a man! Humanity's above his pay grade 'cause he can't recognize it when she or he is breathing right under his nose!

Lie #5: "I am completely supportive of a ban on late-term abortions, partial-birth or otherwise, as long as there's an exception for the mother's health and life...I'm willing to support a ban on late-term abortions as long as we have that exception."

The author nailed this, too: But how can this be since Obama has said that his very first act as president would be to sign The Freedom of Choice Act?** This would legalize abortion for any reason, at any stage of gestation, without restrictions of any kind. Therefore he could not support a late-term ban, nor a ban of any kind.

Secondly, whenever a politician talks about "health" exception and partial-birth abortion in the same paragraph, note that he/she is either intentionally obfuscating or doesn't know one he/she is talking about. A partial-birth abortion is exactly that. If an abortionist can bring Johnny or Susie down the birth canal minus all of the head without yielding harm to Johnny or Susie's mom, then there's no predictable condition on the mom that dictates that the baby's delivery of a brain-filled head would cause harm to his or her mom!
