I never believed Berg from the get go! First of all he is a DemocRAT and secondly all this stuff about him cariong for the Constitution is pure crap! If he cared so much, he would have acted by now. HE'S A PHONEY!

Verbal statement from Granny isn’t conclusive evidence but it’s still important. Valid documentation, or other physical evidence is what’s really needed.

But the verbal evidence would in other circumstances be enough to justify a court order that the documents be produced. That's all that was originally asked, "produce a certified copy of the original Birth Certificate".

What’s ironic is that when the average bloke needs a security clearance, he has to provide a valid birth certificate (among other documentation) just to have access to classified information. But no investigation is done for the POTUS, who will, presumably, have access to the nation’s highest secrets.

The same is true of Congress Critters, They too have access to whatever they specifically ask to see.

Or to "current" records of living people. IIRC, Hawaii has an exception for genealogical research, and their list of folks who are permited to get the CLB is somewhat broader than is implied above. Check the website for the Hawaii Department of Health Statistics:

I wonder why the Governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle just can't verify for us if he was born in Hawaii!

Could be waiting for a check to clear before saying anything.
