Obama's Sheeple Herders

The following note, allegedly from an Obama campaign worker, appeared at HillBuz a couple days ago.

Ok, I want to clear my conscious a little. Hopefully you could make a blog post to help some fellow clinton supporters out. I work for a campaign and can't wait for this week to be over.

I was doing it for a job. I was not a fan of any candidate but over time grew to love HRC.

The internal campaign idea is to twist, distort, humiliate and finally dispirit you.

We pay people and organize people to go to all the online sites and "play the part of a clinton or mccain supporter who just switched our support for obama"

We do this to stifle your motivation and to destroy your confidence.

We did this the whole primary and it worked.

Sprinkle in mass vote confusion and it becomes bewildering. Most people lose patience and just give up on their support of a candidate and decide to just block out tv, news, websites, etc.

This surprisingly has had a huge suppressing movement and vote turnout issues.

Next, we infiltrate all the blogs and all the youtube videos and overwhelm the voting, the comments, etc. All to continue this appearance of overwhelming world support.

Read the whole thing. Rush referenced this piece on his show today. It's fascinating. I've been saying for awhile that David Axelrod's style is to manipulate public opinion through astroturfing, i.e. fake grassroots support. Axelrod is a media guy, NOT a political guy. Who knows if this post is true, however, it certainly comports with the kind of stuff that Axelrod does. It certainly sounds very plausible.

Some 40 years ago in elementary school, we had been taught this same type of tactical behavior and were told not to ever follow it. It was then known as “poor sportsmanship”. It implies one can win by making the other team lose, instead of winning on one’s own merits. It isn’t a good way to win because after you have won, you haven’t won anything of worth. Unfortunately, those who practice it are so arrogant that they never see what they have lost or may have never ever had a chance to gain.

Yeah, against Hitlery. Might have worked against McCain had he not chosen Palin. Sarah Palin has energized the GOP.

I would like everyone’s thoughts on something.
We have heard about the surge in Democrat registration and about how all these Republicans switch parties to vote in the primaries.

We have also heard about Operation Chaos, and how many of these Republicans were intending to vote McCain in the general, but wanted to vote Clinton in the primary to sabotage “The One”

I haven’t heard much about the other way around. How many Republicans voted Obama in the primary, because they wanted to put the last nail in the coffin of the Clintons for good?

We have heard estimates of how many Clinton Primary voters will vote Obama in the General, but the real question now is:

“How many Obama Primary voters will vote Obama in the General?”

An energized GOP base doesn’t lose. Let’s just hope everyone gets out there!

Their tactic may have worked in the swamp camps of any of the Dem candidates.

ANYone who purported to be a Pubbie who said some variation of “I’ve seen the light!” and they were voting for either HRC or BHO was simply not believeable.

To me, to be conservative is to be informed. If you are informed, you don’t vote for socialists, either the light variety (Clinton, McCain) or the heavier variety (Obummer).

No, I was not going to vote for McCain, I was going to leave the top spot blank (which is what I did in his last two senate races here in AZ). What changed my mind? Sarah and Obummer. HE must be stopped and SHE must be promoted!
