John McCain is now leading in Missouri by at least 3 points according to the latest polling as Independents and undecideds continue to swing to McCain-Palin!

Swing State Missouri has picked the last 25 of 26 US presidents! Maybe it was the Biden rally this week where only a few hundred showed up that was the turning point?

Meanwhile... Missouri Governor Matt Blunt slammed Barack Obama today not just for his plans to increase taxes and spread the wealth around but for lying to the American public about public financing.

Good, because I would sell my soul just to see the look on the Democrats faces and especially Michelle Obama’s face when he loses. It will be car crash tv.

Here’s why McCain will win the election but lose the popular vote (maybe by 3-4 points). And why the tracking polls may be right but the pundits are wrong.

The black vote is monolithic and pumped up (and I can’t blame them). They will come out in numbers like never before.

This will give Obama huge numbers in the metro areas. And this is the ONLY reason why red states are in play.

The black vote in Raleigh/Durham (NC), Atlanta (GA), Gary (IN), St Louis (MO), and Norfolk (VA) are putting Obama in position to win states he’d have no shot at if he were a white liberal from Chicago.

So don’t let the media spin the following two memes: A.) Obama appeals to conservatives/moderates and B.) Conservative red states are suddenly turning liberal.

NASCAR Ned did not suddenly turn into Tofu Tom overnight.
It’s all to do with the motivated black vote within the urban areas of red states.

Obama will rack up huge numbers in places like Detroit, Chicago, NYC, LA, Oakland, Atlanta, Philly, and DC. All but Atlanta are already in Blue states, so this does not help him in the electoral.

This will give Obama a huge popular vote total but there aren’t enough black votes in cities (Norfolk, Raleigh, St Louis, Gary)of red states to offset the conservative white votes in these states.

Obama wins popular vote 51 to 49. Loses electoral college.

What poll? I think that’s important.

I would actually hate that result, even if I could eventually live with it -- a lot of the public wouldn't be able to.

You think that there will be millions of new voters to overcome the difference between, say, Kerry and Bush, plus whatever PUMA voters there are.

I'd include conservative/moderate Dems, but I don't think McCain will get more of them than Bush already did, with the exception of the PUMAs.

One can hope right up to the end. I don't necessarily believe the popular vote will be a landslide - there is a whole lot of red counties out there - check one of those red/blue county maps from 2004 like this one 2004 Red and Blue Counties

But you do realize they will go crazy and probably riot in the streets? I pray McCain can win the popular vote also, but I think you are probably correct.
As for his wife, the thought of M.O. in the white house is too scary to think about!

I agree with your assessment. Liberal heads would explode with atomic force and, in such a situation, I can see riots and an attempt to overthrow the election by coercing McCain electors to vote for Obama when the EC meets.

‘Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

” On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi”
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn’t stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

No, McCain is going to win the popular and EV.

Obama is not as popular as people think he is and it will be seen on Nov.4th.

Don't forget the huge defeats he suffered at the hands of Hillary in the Primaries, and many of those voters are not going to be voting for him.

The large GOTV movement in the black community is mobilizing the whites, too. This doesn’t look like it is going to be a good ending no matter how it ends up.

I’ve said before here, I live in an urban area that is about 60/40 black and I’m really worried about Tuesday night. I have already made plans to immediately take my bumper sticker off my car and have ordered my daughter to do the same. I’m taking in my yard sign, also. I just want McCain/Palin to win.

This evening I received a robo-call from Mark Warner, democratic candidate for Senate here. It was a plea to vote for Obama. I don’t think they are as sure about an Obama win as they were a short time ago.

With the polls being all over the place, someone is going to look really stupid on election eve. My guess is that Gallup and Rasmussen will be spinning bigtime.
