O Stands for O $4!t: A God-Fearing Patriotic Response

It's not the end of the world. You control more of your own life and your destiny than any government or politician. To think otherwise is to fall into the bitter pit of futility that has trapped so many angry liberals.

God loves you. Stay happy, stay in control of your life, and stay involved. Stay involved in society and politics. Don't let your political opponents shut you up.

Pray for President Obama while opposing his actions you disagree with. Show those poop throwing monkeys on the left how citizens can patriotically and respectfully oppose a president's policies they disagree with while still being magnanimous enough to support that same president when he does something praiseworthy.

Here's an encouraging poem a friend e-mailed me:

CLEANING HOUSE 2008

Last week I threw out Worrying. It was getting old and in the way. It kept me from being me; I couldn't do things God's way.

I threw out a book on MY PAST (didn't have time to read it anyway). Replaced it with NEW GOALS, started reading it today.

I threw out hate and bad memories. (Remember how I treasured them so?) Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too; threw out the old one from long ago.

Brought in some new books too, called I CAN, I WILL, AND I MUST. Threw out I MIGHT, I THINK and I OUGHT. WOW, you should've seen the dust.

I ran across an OLD FRIEND. Haven't seen him in a while. I believe his name is GOD. Yes, I really like His style.

He helped me to do some cleaning and added some things Himself. Like PRAYER, HOPE AND FAITH, Yes I placed them right on the shelf.

I picked up this special thing and placed it at the front door. I found it-its called PEACE. Nothing gets me down anymore.

Yes, I've got my house looking nice. Looks good around the place. For things like Worry and Trouble there just isn't any space.

It's good to do a little house cleaning, get rid of the things on the shelf. It sure makes things brighter; maybe you should TRY IT YOURSELF.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath; Be not vexed, it will only harm you.
Psalm 37:8
Most uplifting post of the day, foutsc. I’ll be sending that poem on to others as well. Thank you. :)
Thanks. I and so many others needed to hear this. Best not to act like the Liberals did when Bush won his second term.
I wish I knew who wrote the poem. The words above it are mine, but I’m just passing the poem along. However, the most important words are the ones at the bottom from Psalms.
Thanks! :)
Your words were just as important as the poem was. And I also agree about the message in that particular Psalm.
Thanks for the post! I was thinking the same thing last night after the election. WE are in control of our future and our time here on earth is brief anyway.
The funny thing is that like it or not, God is sovereign and controls everything; politicians, our lives, the weather, etc...
He gives us the illusion of control, but it is always based on His work in our lives. If God promises in His word that He will work out all things to our good (His perception of our good, not ours), and I resign myself to His sovereignty, what do I have to worry about?
Amen! Let's fight for our beliefs and do it in a patriotic, God-fearing way!
