L.A. Times, Apparently in Jest, Says Obama Will Not Put Liberals On Supreme Court
The Patriot Room ^ | November 17, 2008 | Bill Dupray

There is a funny piece in the L.A. Times today discussing Obama’s possible picks for the Supreme Court. It is not ha-ha funny, it is funny because it shows how far-left liberals distinguish themselves from one another; sort of like a zebra saying another zebra has a slightly wider stripe.

No, he isn’t going to appoint liberals. He will appoint outright socialists.

To the LA Times, someone we would call a liberal, is a conservative. A “liberal” to them, is what we would call a far-left radical.

Well, with at least 57 Democrat senators to confirm his appointees, I think he may try to go as far left as he can on judge appointees.

Just a reminder, remember in May 2005 when a Senate showdown was approaching about Senate filibusters of judicial nominees? At that time it was Democrats in the Senate who were obstructionist. And instead of changing Senate rules to ban judicial filibusters, the Gang of 14 came together to urge that filibusters would only happen in extraordinary circumstances. And a backlog of Bush appointees to the courts were confirmed, with only a few filibustered.

To all of you who were frustrated about that outcome back in ‘05 on judicial filibusters, what is your opinion today, now that a radical left Democrat president will have a Senate with eager Democrat allies ready to confirm radical judges? Aren’t you happy that the filibuster option is still out there is Obama tries to over reach on judges?

And let’s hope Republicans can prevail in the recounts in Alaska and Minnesota, and that Chambliss in Georgia wins his runoff election Dec. 2nd so that Republicans will have enough numbers in the Senate to filibuster in the first place.

I have been amazed this election at the amount of self deception people seem to have about Obama.

There is an old Christian saying, “By their fruits you will know them”. This man, these people, say anything, but their record tells their heart. Obama’s worked hard to hide his but it IS there.

Yet people persisted in voting by the vague and incomplete promises this man mad, instead of ever examining what he did.

People keep saying, “He SAID”. Foolish. You never listen to what they SAY. You watch what they DO. They SAY anything.

The MSM is working doubletime to hide what he’s done, and what he’ll really DO. Ignorance is their hope.

Remember, to liberals, justice Ginsburg is a moderate.

What in the world makes you think the Dems will have any qualms about executing the "nuclear option" at their first opportunity? They'll rule filibusters of judicial nominees unallowable by the Senate rules in no more than ten minutes.

My thought was outright communists / anti-Constitutionalist.
