Guess the plan is to let the failure of what happens in Iraq get blamed on someone with an R next to his name.

Isn’t AZ governor a rat and would appoint a rat as replacement? That would give rats the magic “60” in Senate.

Under AZ law, the Gov would have to appoint a Republican to the seat.

Yep, and don’t think that McCain wouldn’t do it either.

Well, that’s better news, but she’d probably appoint the lamest guy she could find in hopes of picking up the seat in 2010.

McCain has more power as a senior senator.

I thought Obama said Sen. McCain was an extension of President Bush. Very odd.

I had hopes that our rat gov. was going to be on Obama’s transition team so we could get rid of her also.

You don’t think he would? It would be the ‘maverick’ thing to do, no?

McCain: Mr. President. I'm afraid I may have started WWIII.

Obama: Damit John you can't start wars. That's my job.

McCain: Sorry sir. Forgot for a minute. It won't happen again.

Obama: *click*

Wasn’t McCain’s judgement questioned by Obama/Powell for picking Palin?

Obama is not going to appoint someone who pushed for the surge as his SofD. If he picks a Republican, it will be someone like [gag]Hagel[gag].

McCain for all his faults is way too much of a hawk for Obama.
