Main stream medicine, in my view, is making serious mistakes in its understanding and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Cholesterol is a Red Herring which has the primary advantages that it is easily measured and that drugs to suppress it, such as statins, are a major revenue source.

I’m hoping it strikes me during my deadtime.
To this day, I keep the never opened first bottle of statin pills that I obtained from that prescription. I never went back to that doctor, and started a massive overhaul of my entire diet, which has led to health benefits from head to toe too numerous to mention.
I abhor statins and have developed a strong distrust of the way that modern medicine handles the chronic diseases such as cancer and heart disease.

The family has noticed a bit of a decline in my dad's memory, but we chalked it up to getting older. The fact that it could be caused by his medication is worrying.
