I think this situation is going to be wrapped up by Inauguration Day (Hamas will be effectively destroyed, and Fatah will take over Gaza), but if there's a chance that it's not, it will be the next set of groups that Obama will have to choose between when it comes time to piss someone off. Does he go with the Rat base and use the US position on the Security Council to condemn Israel, or does he pander to the Jewish voters who gave him so very much support?

My guess: He can win re-election and most of his immediate agenda without Jewish support. I mean, what are liberal Jewish congresscritters going to do, anyway? Vote with the Republicans to shut down socialism?
