The Reverend Dr. Joseph Lowery gave the benediction at today's inauguration of Barack Obama. It could more accurately be called a political ramble. It was, in no uncertain terms, an embarrassment. And as loathe as I am to have to use a word that has long been at the heart and soul of liberal thought, I will break out my liberal/english dictionary and say it ... It was offensive.
Said Mr. Lowery:
"We ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back ... when brown can stick around ... when yellow will be mellow ... when the red man can get ahead, man ... and when white will embrace what is right ..."
Disgusting.
First off, this is a prayer?
Second, was the Reverend Lowery listening to old Jesse Jackson speeches before he gave this so-called prayer? The fact that the man can rhyme words only means that his faculties may parallel those of Dr. Suess, not that he is coherent.

Many are rightfully offended by that remark, but there are legends of self-hating, guilt-ridden, Obama voting white people for whom that remark was an orgasmic experience.

True, but the problem is, with all the PC, multi-culti education, many young white people don't know that and any minorities who know it will never admit it.
It will be interesting to see how this racist, anti-white crap goes over with the Asian and Hispanic minorities, whose importance will increase at the expense of the black minority for years to come.

The when white is right thing made me laugh. A black friend of mine that I grew up with used to greet me with the “black power” jive, and I would return the greeting with “white is right.” I’m sure my friend and his large family are enjoying Obama’s inauguration, and I would love to be there giving them a hard time. God bless them, and keep them through the disappointment Obama will bring.

It is tens of millions of white people who have worked hard and paid the taxes that have supported millions of non-whites. I, personally, have had enough of my income confiscated each year to support the spawn of a couple of skanks who can’t keep their knees together, and who are being raised to think I owe them even more.
Any person of any color who “embraces right” in this country can get ahead. “Embracing right” means work before pleasure, paying rent before buying bling, marriage before children, and all the other daily choices that constitute “embracing right.”

Please be my guest! I don’t know Rush or how to send it to him, and try as I might I haven’t been able to tune him in here in NZ. I don’t have broadband, so trying to listen to him online is futile.

I’m ok with the racism, because I know it exists. However, the open display by the Rev is pretty scary. If Obama continues to allow this and surround himself with these openly racist people, I fear for his life. Also, I fear for this country, because if anything happened to Obama we would be stuck with Biden.
