She looks like they typical liberal misfit.

I didn’t watch any of the “celebration” but I did see Michele in some photos with this white thing. It did look like an old fashioned bedspread. Michele has no fashion sense. She might want to stick copying JFK’s wife - Jackie O.. Or just go native!

Ok, so Mickey does not dress herself and goes to someone who wears a shawl that looks like she sprayed those plastic soda can carriers black and is wearing them around her neck. Great choice for someone to help you Mickey.

Well if that is the fashoinista that she picked... The first hint that it was a horrendous choice is the outfit she picked for her publicity photo.

Michelle doesn’t need a stylist she needs a friend to tell her when an outfit looks like ... what the new puppy and Barack will be leaving all over the white house.

Is it me or does Michelle Obama have hips and butt larger than many northeastern states? I asked my wife and after quite a few minutes of prodding had to admit, “Yes, she has huge hips and a fat ass! What are you going to do, dwell on it?”
“Yes,” I replied,”Probably for 4 years at least.”

I don’t think Michelle has a fat ass, no fat anywhere. What she has is a big frame, with wide set hips and if we ever get to see her in pants or a short skirt I think she might be slightly bowlegged.

Micelle will NEVER NEVER EVER be close to CLASS as the warm hearted, and gracious Mrs. Bush. Class is more than a dress. And that dress did not even come close to class and neither did the woman who wore it.

Bedspread was not what came to my mind when I saw her in that gauzy thing.
Any gal here that’s been to a bridal shower is probably familiar with the “toilet paper bridal gown” game.

That’s exactly what it looked like to me!

Her build is a challenge to dress properly. Being tall and having broad shoulders myself, I know this. But in the right hands, you could make quite an impression.
Her outfits, even the “casual” ones, all the way back to the early days of the campaign have left me saying, “WTF?!”
I’ve wondered if she even had anyone advising her- I’m shocked to learn that she does. Damn, throwing our good money after bad.
Seems to be the theme of the day, now.

No can do. I do have a problem with Michelle and it started when she chose to inject herself into the fray with her comment about being proud of her country for the first time. Besides, I think it’s high time the left started taking some of their own medicine.

Oh...you mean the wife that is only just now proud of her country??? That wife??? That sweet little thang??

Not a chance. We've been sweet for 8 years while our President has been berated for everything, including his dogs! All we've gotten being so nice is the minority in congress.

These idiot people even booed Mrs. Bush yesterday. Enough niceness.

“This is a very rude thread. I thought FReepers were above this type of stuff. If you have a problem with Barack Obama, why not keep it to him and leave his wife out of it.”

I know some of these comments seem petty; but, I think they are indicative of a new twist on BDS. ODS, or Obama Derangement Syndrome, is NOT a blind hatred of all things Obama. Instead, it is a blind love for all things Obama.

I have seen numerous print stories about how ‘dazzling’ her dress was, and the talking heads called her stunning and beautiful. Ok, I get it - its polite to compliment a women who is dressed up...but lets face it, she is not an exceptionally attractive woman. She has to stand in a strange bowlegged pose, when next to Obama, so as to appear shorter than him, she rarely smiles, walks and moves in a manner that looks like a teenage girl walking in heels for the first time. I’m not trying to be critical of her - it is just factually incorrect to compare her to Jackie-O, or in any way imply that she has exceptional beauty..

So, it gets a little tiring to listen to and read all the stories about her beauty and grace. I know it is a little unseemly to talk about he looks and style...but the media IS talking about it. If the print media keeps ‘making the call’ on her appearance, I reserve the right to disagree with their opinion.

...not because I have a personal hatred for Michelle Obama, but rather because this new ODS blind love for all things Obama scares the hell out of me.

Amen, Caluvdubya. As far as I'm concerned, we are entitled to every rude, snide comment and action we can take in the next four years, and more.

If the holder of the position and his wife had any class whatsoever, I wouldn't feel this way even given his supporters' behavior. But they don't. In fact, he has done as much underhanded encouragement of the treatment of Bush as he can, and I have no sympathy or guilt whatsoever.
