I guess she should have tried for Secretary of Treasury. Nanny and tax problems apparently don’t matter over there...

Being a rich liberal means never having to pay your taxes. And if you’re a rich, non-tax paying liberal, you can even get to be Secy of Treasury because, silly little you, you used Turbotax. Shake golden ringlets, roll eyes, make a moue, because we all know how haaarrd those taxes are for a sweet little gal - er, guy - like Geithner.

Caroline must have been in seriously bad shape, or perhaps Bambi didn’t want to face another Geithner moment. Not right now, while there are still a few of us who might notice this and dare to make negative remarks about it.

I saw a photo of Sweet Caroline dining with Fat Al. He declared bankruptcy to avoid paying various judgments (although clearly, he ain’t bankrupt). When he ended up in court for tax evasion because he used the income of his “church” to fund his personal lifestyle, which included (don’t laugh) a Caddie, all the dumb little old ladies who had spent their entire lives as cleaning ladies or laundry workers came out and said they believed the Reverend Al deserved their money, and they didn’t really think they were giving it to his church, but they knew it was going to him personally and that was just fine with them. Case dismissed.

Rich leftists who want to raise taxes to feed their voracious government and then do everything to hold onto every last cent of their own fortunes are despicable and deserving of the ultimate contempt. They should be setting the example and giving the majority of their fortunes to the U.S. Treasury as matter of consistency and integrity.

If there was a time that ethics and morality (since when does a failing marriage have anything to do with a Senate seat?) didn’t really count with the incoming 0bama administration, this is it. What difference does a few little tax problems make since Mrs. Schlossberg would be in the same boat as Secretary Geithner who was given an easy path onto the cabinet.

Looks like someone was checking into Caroline’s personal life very closely. Now WHO would do something like that? Who would be mad at the Kennedys?

A Kennedy denied a position for moral and possible criminal reasons-that’s a first.

Just a wild guess.. the Clintons? I think Hillary wants a fallback position available. This Secretary of State "Smart Power" thing may not work out so well. Having to run in two years vs. a Kennedy... I don't think Hillary could beat Caroline if she actually campaigned and had done a good job. Somebody torpedoed this coronation, had to have been Hillary, I think.

Even worse for Hillary, lets say "dumb power" lasts longer, say the whole eight years if Obama is reelected. Caroline would have become a fixture in office at that point and running against her would have been impossible.

If Hillary is having Cuomo hold her seat, they must have something on him.

I think this is why Patterson has been saying he was looking for a "placeholder"

Bet she’s waiting for Uncle Ted to kick the bucket so she can glom onto the Kennedy hold on Mass.

This could be entertaining for a few days, especially as it parallels Tim Geithner's nanny and tax cheat problems.

And . . next week . . . Blago's impeachment trial begins.
