Ben Stein Calls Univ of Vermont "Chickens**t" -- He's Right
Evil Conservative Radio ^ | 04 February 2009 | EC

After hundreds of Darwinists protested, the University of Vermont withdrew an invitation they had made for Ben Stein to speak at their commencement, proving once again that Darwinists want no part of a debate between religious Darwinism, as taught in most universities, and actual scientific inquiry, as represented by Intelligent Design.

Giggling at the thought of someone with the demeanor of Stein uttering that epithet.

Odd battle for someone who isn’t a creationist to fight.

The battle isn’t over creationism. It’s over academic freedom. There may be something to ID, or not. The proper place for this battle to be waged is in the laboratory and the arena of ideas, not in academic administrations. That is the point.

Ben Stein has zero credibility anymore.

He endorsed Franken for Senate AND thinks the TARP monstrosity was a good idea.

“The proper place for this battle to be waged is in the laboratory and the arena of ideas, not in academic administrations.”

meanwhile, taxes are being spent on teaching our children a religion. And that religion is not only spiritually wrong, but also scientifically wrong.

universities used to be a place where free debate could occur.

It is worth fighting for, one should have the right to academic freedom, I applaud Ben Stein for standing up.

“Giggling at the thought of someone with the demeanor of Stein”

I’m bummed. My daughter graduates from UVM in May. I would have been there.

Interestingly, my kid developed a thick skinned conservatism while at UVM and withstood peer pressure to conform. Last election night she called and said the Obamabots were rioting in the street and she hoped the cops would shoot them.

Over Christmas vacation, we took a pistol safety course.
She’s dating a boy who enlisted in the Marines.

What a great kid. Only blemish is she totaled her SUV last fall.

Obama supported Franken and TARP, and espouses evolution. What are you saying? Ben Stein is dead-on right about this issue, regardless where he stands on others.
Why do you suppose that centers of “higher learning” are so fearful of those who refuse to tow the party line on the creation myth of evolution? Confident people salivate at the chance to convince people of their opponents’ fallacies. Cowards soil their pants. The Vermont U. administrators are headed for the laundromats with diaper pails in tow. What a pack of phonies! Bob
