Is The Obama Honeymoon Over SO SOON ?
NRO Online/Yidiwithlid ^ | 2/4/09 | Yidwithlid

...It started a week before the inauguration President-elect Barack Obama privately delivered a pre-inauguration veto threat to fellow Democrats saying they would not deny him use of the remaining $350 billion in federal bailout funds. Source. Then Congress began flexing its muscles to show the incoming President the extent of congressional power. Diane Fienstein dissed both the President-elect and her Senate leadership, while Harry Reid made a point of reminding reporters the he does not report to the president.

Americans strongly oppose the presidents first two executive orders, allowing federal funding for overseas abortions and closing Guantanamo, according to a Gallup poll released yesterday, additionally the supposed "stimulus" bill is losing support both amongst the public and in Congress (only 38% of Americans support his plan). And just when he was going to go directly to the people by calling the Network News Anchors to the White House for interviews, Tom Daschle withdraws from his position because of a tax and lobbying scandal.

It seems as if the Honeymoon is over. This is not to say that Obama's approval ratings are going to sink into the mid 20's but on inauguration day, 30% of Americans disapproved of the Job he was doing, two weeks later that disapproval number is 36% . America may be realizing that the centrist Obamessiah that they voted for, is not the liberal human being that they voted for; The same Rasmussen poll shows that one month ago 65% thought that Obama was a liberal, that number has gone up to 71%. Is Obama heading toward a meltdown? Well Maybe:

Even the most hardened Conservatives never dreamed this would begin the first week of February, 2009.

Odummer’s been found out. Whoever thought hiring a street walker for President was a good idea.

New fall show on TV, “are you smarter than an Odummer voter”.

I must admit I’m shocked at how poorly Obama has done. I didn’t expect much from him after he managed to get elected, but I did expect more than this. For better or worse he is the president and he this is the absolute worst start anyone could have imagined. There is blood in the water not only for the opposition within the country but also for our enemies. I just pray the country can hold together until a grownup can be elected—less than four years to go!

The American people oppose Obama? Like my drama teacher from HS used to tell me, “you want to learn some Russian? Tough Shiniski.”

Sorry. I didn't say "I do".

Yep. The American Idol mentality of the Obama supporters apparently forgot that this winner gets a four-year reign. You know, I half expect him to resign in 18 months or so in order to spend “more time with his family.”

Considering the MSM was so in the tank for him that they’ve lost all credibility and support among Americans, he’s going to be very, very surprised when many of the outlets turn on him. And the “racism” catcalls aren’t going to work.

If someone should ever tell me I’m racist for criticizing Zero, I’m going to tell them I’m complaining about his WHITE half.

Obama might just be the ticket that saves the MSM. People are going to start buying up newspapers as headline after headline will start to portray the President as a tragic mistake, foisted upon the American public by the likes of Pelosi and Reid.

And the MSM will say, “see, we told you that Hillary would have made a better President.”

This is going to get good.

It seems as if the Honeymoon is over.

No it isn't... not by a longshot. All the media has done is gratified itself. The reporters and journalsts and anchors and talking heads are just catching their breath, and will begin a new round of **** the Obama Administration in a week or so. You can already see sigs of it, reporters writing how these muck-ups are just early missteps, like a child learning to walk.

When someone tells me I don’t like “Zero” cause he’s black, I tell them that I wish that was the reason. Racism is a pretty involuntary emotion growing up in white suburbia. His views, and rights slashing ideas, trump the 1/16th of African he’s got in him.

No, the honeymoon is not over.

The MSM will have a recovery plan in place soon to resurrect his god-like image.

Obama has poor judgement, particularly concerning men. It has been a lifelong problem for him and now the results are being played out in public.

I’ve always said the worship of Obama will fade. He is a fad. Fads lose their apeal after a short time. Everyone was caught up in a “historical moment”. Now the moment is over and the American Idol public are off to find something else to occupy their time.

As I’ve commented all along. The Current President only knows how to run for an office, he has no experience IN an office. He wanted the glamor and the prestige and did not expect the WORK, the choices, the responsibility that the “buck” stops with him as POTUS.

He’s in over his head and he’s becoming more and more aware of that as the days pass.

He’s in meltdown but I’m not sure what’s going to happen when he completely loses it.

“This is not the Presidency, he (thought he) knew.”

I fully support term limits. Two terms for Senators, four for House Reps, and a single 20 year hitch on the Supreme Court.
