In his first press briefing as President, Barack Obama focused on the fiscal well being of the nation. With only days to the vote on Obama’s version of the stimulus package in the Senate, it was a press conference whose motives could not be mistaken. Is he on the money or off the wall?
With a democratically controlled house and senate it seemed more of a perfunctory briefing than a call for the nation to get onboard Obama’s economic tinker wagon.
With a pre-chosen list of reporter’s names to call from the entire briefing was mechanical and not very friendly. The first question asked by APs Jennifer Loven met with a terse “No no no no, that’s just not the way it is,” the tone was set.

He'll get no breaks from me, he did win the election, but close to half of the voting electorate DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM and he is NOT watching out for them. He is going to run the show as if he is the superbowl champ, what an immature prig.
He is a clone of Soviet Sattelite Ceaucescu of Roumania. Talking in monologue to crowds like at a blank wall expecting nothing but positive feedback.
Congress and him are in Bagdad Bob mode along with many still believing him. It’s ugly and the majority of us and the GOP let them do it as if “attitude” will make things better, as if nothing is going on but a bit of unusualness.
After reading the transcript of the first few minutes of his “presser,” I was appalled by the ten or so run-on sentences. He never surfaced for a breath. And...and...and...and...ad nauseum. I call his intellect into question. I feel like the 15th century folks who believed the earth was flat. O’b is taking us over the edge, and we have no idea what we’ll land on, or if we’ll land on anything. We live in parlous times.

It’s like Hitler said: the bigger the lie/absurdity/grotesque, the more “believable”.
It reminds me of the movie Chainsaw Massacre, the way neighbors and the wife react as if nothing as people get cut up right under the table.
It isn’t just a matter of 0 wanting some Republicans to blame when this social engineering disaster goes bad. He wants that, but more than that he wants people to think they don’t have a choice when the social engineering starts. Republicans need to stand strong against this insanity.
