On the official website of UK embassy in Iran, the Queen of England passes along her "warmest greetings" to genocidal Iranian mullahs in celebration of the 30-year anniversary of the Islamic revolution in Iran:
Queen Elizabeth's message to the Iranian people (09/02/2009)
It gives me great pleasure to send the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran my warmest greetings on the celebration of your National Day, together with my best wishes for good fortune and happiness in the coming year.
Barf!!!
What's up with these Royals? We all know that Prince Charles may have already converted to Islam. I wonder how many other Royals are practicing Muslims?
Of course, the pro-fascist stance of the British Royal Family is nothing new. During WWII, King Edward VIII met with Hitler and did the full Nazi salute. Here is a picture of this disgraceful meeting...

Bonnie Prince Charlie? Is that you?
Brought to you by generations of inbreeding.
following a link at this story takes you to tony blair telling us he reads the koran everyday. merry old england isn’t so merry any longer and hasn’t been really for some time.
sounds to me as if appeasement to Ahmadiniwackjob has been in the works prior to the election of Obummer.
Gee Whiz, I wonder who is authoring these statements, as in,
the HIGHER POWERS that be? yet all at the same time the MSM here in the States is presenting to the public that it’s all still up in the air, and playing ping-pong with Obummer’s position on Iran.
The British Queen cheering the Ayatollah.
Guess it wasn’t paranoia when the Shah suspected the British (with help of the BBC) behind the Revolution.
I can’t wait for Britain to become a Republic.
Protecting the Queen's safety is a task that is gladly accepted by Police Squad. No matter how silly the idea of having a queen might be to us, as Americans, we must be gracious and considerate hosts.
No Future!
Pretty much all public statements of the Queen is the work of the Prime Minister in power at the time. That is how their government operates.
the Shah could have suspected the British but with the Shah in power at the time and his ruthless SAVAK and oppresseive regime where people were losing relatives in the dark of the night, being kidnapped off the street and in the early dawn because they did not agree with him, oh, yeah, and along with the burgeoning grudges of the middle class and intelligentsia many many people turned to Khomeini in Paris as their refuge, they were looking for an emotional savior, not an economic one and were willling to take the hit. Khomeini became a cult figure but on a much larger scale then Obummer has. Muslims worldwide heralded his return to Teheran. People were sick of being flayed for an opinion.
UNFORTUNATELY, to many many peoples’ dissatifaction Khomeini’s return was the introduction of islamo-facism within that country.
The intelligentsia and smarter people left when they found out they were going to be put in jail or killed, too, because it became an extremely oppressive environment.
I’m not taking either side just mho.
One more comment about your statement of Prince Charles converting to Islam.
PC has not done such any deed.
What you have probably heard is this- The tentative date for his investiture / coronation / for King of England has been scheduled for 2012. The traditional oath of allegiance or whatever you call it states” Defender of the Faith” which means the Church of England.
He has been quoted as saying he will state” Defender of the Faiths” (which means all those of any faith living in the UK including muslims)
See, that's the problem here. The extreme naivite and (willful) blindness of millions of Iranians AND Westerners who were cheering on the Revolution.
Khomeini's vitriolic, hateful, regressive views, speeches and writings were known since the 1960's.
To those with working brains and without blinders or red/black tinged glasses, it was plain obvious that Khomeini's return would usher in an islamist terror regime.
I interacted with an largely pro-Shah enviroment (upper middle class)... and most of them didn't expect the clergy to be the leader of the opposition. It was assumed (as it initially was) that the communists and islamo-marxists pose the largest threat. So there was certainly misjudgement and blindness on their part too.
However there can't be an excuse for the leftists Revolutionaries either, who post-Revolution were given an huge audience in the West, denouncing both the Shah and the mullahs, defending their position as one of utopian Communist "freedom".
The "good cause" of the leftists was especially harebrained since the Shah created a welfare state (which is BTW anathema to me) along with some other statist measures, which would have been praised by leftists everywhere else. IF they had had their way during the Revolution, and the result would be a Communist Iran, it would be just as much a nightmare. It would inevitably have become a Soviet vassal, with red terror, most likely a civil war and an eventual Soviet invasion. Just look at Afghanistan at the same time. The specter of "Iranistan" was not a boogeyman of the Shah. It amazes me how many had forgotten that only 30 years earlier the Soviets tried to annex Kurdistan and Azerbaijan and eventually swallow all of Iran. And the "freedom" and "justice" of the Iranian communists was amply on display in the "Republic of Azerbaijan".
The Shah has grown dictatorical, especially in the mid-late 1970's, but given the unfathomable alternatives the revolution was nothing short of suicidal for the educated Iranian middle-upper class.
For the gamble of having a little political freedom (which they obviously wouldn't have had under either a red or black revolution) they risked and lost every bit of the social, cultural and economic freedoms and gains they enjoyed and now cry after.
What the hell is wrong with them?
Guess they're just preparing for the inevitable.
