This is a very quick story because I have such few details.
Last spring (08) Sherrill came upon two Canada goose eggs whose mother had not returned to keep them warm. Sherrill did not want to let them die so she took them home. She kept each egg in {ahem} each side of her bra. I think she must have gone out to a Salvation Army or Goodwill store and bought a much bigger bra to allow this to happen.
She "wore" the eggs for a couple of days. One egg hatched, and "Wallace" was born.
We have lots of pictures of Sherrill with Wallace, many taken right in our own livingroom. What a cutie.
He became her baby, like all the other baby critters Sherrill saved or healed or fed or otherwise took in. Like all her other "pets" Wallace followed her everywhere. I would imagine that if an animal of any species had listened to her heartbeat for a couple of days, it would automatically think that was his mama.
Wallace has grown up and now lives out on a farm in southern Lake County, Ohio somewhere.
