A Declaration of the People of the United States of America

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. Such has been the patient sufferance of the Citizens of the United States; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to remove from office those who have systematically violated the Laws of the Land and restore their former Systems of Government. The history of the present United States Federal Government is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

The Federal Government has failed to Incorporate against the Fifty States the entire Bill of Rights and other Natural Rights.

The Federal Government has ceded the sovereignty of the United States and it's rule of law, specifically, the Constitution, to a world authority comprised largely of Nations whose legal doctrines run contrary to those of the United States.

The Federal Government has usurped authority not granted to the Federal Government by the Constitution to engage in unwarranted spending and onerous taxation for the purpose of expanding the size and scope of the Government and increasing its power over the People.

Branches of the Federal Government have illegally ceded authority to another branch of government, and Branches have accepted that authority thus dispensing with the inherent system of checks and balances.

The Federal Government has refused to enforce the Supreme Law of the Land in spite of the overwhelming demands of the Populace to do so.

The Federal Government has failed, on the part of elected officials, to uphold their Sacred Oaths to Preserve, Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States.

The Federal Government has deliberately and systematically made efforts to devalue the currency of the United States of America against the wishes of the overwhelming majority of the Populace.

The Federal Government has deliberately abrogated treaties with other Sovereign Nations.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Representative Government, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

And as a free people who cherish the rule of law and the Liberty that affords, We the People require the following:

That the Concept of Sovereign Immunity is invalid. The People must be able to hold those who have chosen to serve the People, whether elected or appointed, accountable in a Court of Law.

That no Legislation may be passed without Sponsors citing Article, Section and Clause of the Constitution in order to establish its Constitutional validity.

That all Rights acknowledged in the Bill of Rights and other Rights are immutable and thus cannot be superceded by any Legislation, for we understand that a Right that can be taken away or curtailed is not a Right but a Privilege.

That no Branch of government has the Constitutional authority to cede any of its Powers to either of the other branches for any reason, nor does any Branch have the authority to accept power offered by either of the other two branches..

That all existing Federal Laws be reviewed by the Judiciary for the purpose of repealing all laws which cannot be defended Constitutionally.

That all obligations and tasks defined by the Constitution for the various branches of the Federal Government must be met, and that these obligations specifically enumerated therein comprise the sum total of tasks in which the Federal Government may engage.

That the currency of the United States of America be backed by tangible assets in the way of commodities with intrinsic value, that the system of fiat currency be immediately eliminated, and that only the Treasury, as so ordered and authorized by Congress, mint or print currency for or issue credit on behalf of the United States of America.

We, therefore, the People of the United States of America, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these States, solemnly publish and declare, That these United States are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States, that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to those holding office in the Federal Government, and that all political connection between them and the Federal Government, is and ought to be totally dissolved until such time as a Federal Government strictly adhering to the Constitution may be formed; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor

We do not need to abandon our Federal Government: we need to wrest control of it from the hands of the looters. There will come a time, if it has not already passed, for those who violate the Constitution while pretending to uphold it, who crush freedom while pretending to protect it, who steal unearned wealth while pretending to create it, who destroy life while pretending to preserve it, all to be removed from office through whatever means necessary and proper to the lives of a free people.

Entertaining and compelling re-do. Still a mite early to throw down on the federales IMHO. There's nothing I'd like better than to stop the federal beast in its tracks but I think there's a long road ahead of us before it comes to "Declaration" time. I imagine the hardest part will be whether or not we can bring the fed to the realization there are enough of us along with our states who will stand their ground when the time comes.
