The numbers: 68% of viewers said they had a positive reaction, compared to 24% negative. And an astonishing 85% said the speech made them feel more optimistic about the direction the country is headed in (though granted, feeling more optimistic than before might be a low bar), and only 11% said it made them more negative.And 82% of speech-watchers say they support Obama's economic plans as outlined in the speech, with only 17% against.
The positive reaction numbers, as CNN warns, are fairly typical of initial joint session speeches.
But the economic numbers? 82 percent? That's a crapload of radical communists.

Maybe only commie libs watched the speech. I know I didn’t, so my thoughts wouldn’t show up in the poll even if they had asked me.

I keep hoping there are sufficient numbers of liberty-minded Americans left, but these polls don’t look good. Can millions of people be that ignorant of history that they see Obama and the rise of socialism as a good thing? Apparently so.
It’s early yet. Most are still getting over the fact that they voted for the wrong man and are in denial.
They will awake soon, of course like the Nazi’s some will never awaken.
Sadly it reflects the American public at this point. Sad. The USA has changed to a socialist utopia. Soon the economy will resemble Cuba. If you have any real money now is the time to cash out and escape.

Government efforts to “create jobs”, only results in enlarging the dependent class, while destroying industry and creativity, which are the very engines of a healthy, growing economy.
When the Congress blackmails the banks into making bad loans in the name of “affordable housing”, Congress is the problem, Not the banks!
Giving everybody an insurance card, is NOT providing healthcare! Instead, it drives price controls which guarantee a shortage of Doctors and “productive” research.
Guaranteeing slave wages for illegal immigrants, rather that providing the means to assimilate into American society is far more racist than pretending to “respect their culture”.
The energy needs of America will NOT be provided by ignoring Nuclear Power and telling fairy tales about the potential of wind and solar power.
The nations security is NOT guaranteed by emasculating our Armed Forces and promoting a policy of appeasement.
Disarming American citizens only emboldens violent criminals and makes NOBODY safer.
A culture that devalues life through abortion, euthanasia, and the restricted availability of real healthcare, will never be a culture that retains the moral authority to sustain a free democracy.
Erasing the First Amendment to the Constitution and denying free speech and oppressing religious freedom means America is lost.
In short Mr. President, there are no elements of your speech which can be implemented as advertised and achieve the promised results. Because you are well aware of these facts, the entire speech was a lie!
Well... maybe we have to learn the hard lesson. I still think if enough people (like, too many to put in prisons) resist the demands to fund the govt, it will have to mend its ways. You don’t have to man the barricades, just stop writing those checks.

The new American Pravda doesn’t need time to come up with appropriate propaganda. They probably had the “poll results” all ready to release last week.
Disaffected republicans did not watch the speech. That’s roughly 50% of the voters, so the numbers that CNN are giving need to be halved.
