My wife and I were in San Antonio last weekend (her first visit to Texas) and were at an Irish bar on the river walk which featured a pretty lively piano player. At one point he would ask people to respond:

Let's hear from all the Aggies!! ... big cheer went up.

Let's hear it from all the democrats!!....... silence

Let's hear it from all the Republican's !!....HUGE CHEER Followed.

My wife turned to me and said: Now I understand why you like Texas so much.

It sure was nice to be amongst like minded people.
