Wow...Rahmiavelli's words echo throughout the Administration. This is not a new idea of course, but there's probably a Saul Alinsky or similar attribution to be found regarding this operational tactic. Is anybody at the RNC putting this together in a narrative form? Linking the current non-related policies such as spending bills, health care reform and climiate change legislation, to the banking/economic crisis? It is naked political manipulation and would make a powerful and compelling video for the Internet and television. SOMETHING THE PARTY COULD USE TO COMMUNICATE WITH AMERICANS!

There is a public speaking technique which infers all is connected, by starting with a theme —like Dangerfields, “i don’t get no respect’— and popping it up through the talk. Rush used this effectively in his recent CPAC speech, where he repeated that he was not using a teleprompter, that this was his first address to the nation. The idea is to create the notion of everything is conencted by using a mental tweak which gives the image of conenction without causing your listeners to stumble over remembering exact aspects previously cited when the ‘cue’ term or phrase was given. When used as a manipulative deceit ... well, it is absolutely Ainksyesque.
