Today in Illinois, a man walked in and shot the pastor while he was delivering a sermon. Is it just me, or is the whole world going mad in a million different ways all at once?
A pastor shot and killed during his Sunday sermon deflected the first of the gunman's four rounds with a Bible, sending a confetti-like spray of paper into the air in a horrifying scene that congregants initially thought was a skit, police said. The gunman strode down the aisle of the sprawling First Baptist Church shortly after 8 a.m. and briefly spoke with The Rev. Fred Winters, then pulled out a .45-caliber semiautomatic pistol and began firing until it jammed, Illinois State Police Director Larry Trent said. Churchgoers wrestled the gunman to the ground as he waved a knife, slashing himself and two other people, Trent said.

God save us all.
Such a tragic story. Looks like random insanity to me.
Motive?
These chuch killings are getting scary here in the USA.
First there was the terrorist who shot up that Unitarian Chuch in Tennessee and now another terrorst attack on a Babtist Chuch today.
Yeah, those guns have to be stopped.
No the guns should not be stopped however, the terrorist who killed in these churches must be stopped.
Was it something he said?
Sorry.. Did the pastor have an affair with this wife, son, daughter? I believe later in the week we will know.
Here in Arkansas, the CCW law forbids the carrying of firearms into churches.
There was a bill introduced that was actually asked for by a group of churches, that would change the CCW law to allow permit holders to carry in church, if a particular church wanted to allow it (basically nothing more than to put the decision in the hands of a local church, not on the government). There was quite a bit of support for it, and the governor appeared ready to sign it - and then the bill just died...
And then new this morning of this tragic shooting... And church members getting seriously hurt while trying to disarm the shooter...
OF course, such cases will be used to further DISARM Americans, even though that is not the real issue.
Praying for the pastor’s family, his Church family, and respectable people everywhere who see this as a horrible and tragic display of evil.
Probably right, but you know, there is an untold story about the United States in the last eight years.
We here have often remarked, laughed, scoffed and sworn about the Bush derangement syndrome that infected democrat politics since 2000. What has not been appreciated is the effect of the constant drumbeat of hate from the left, month after month, year after year.
After awhile, this incessant rain of psychopathic malignancy escapes its cage--it transcends politics and bleeds over into the culture, contaminating and polluting everything in its wake. Vulnerable damaged souls who don't even know who George Bush is, have been exposed to the generic idea that someone out there is worthy of being hated and needs to be done in. And it's OK to do it.
No one at the church recognised the man including the junior pastor.
You will have to ask Satan...
Back in the days of the American Revolution the 1st and 2nd New York actually made their plans to act against the Brits INSIDE the Old Yellow Church along the Mohawk. Today, they'd all be arrested by their do-gooder Leftwingtard neighbors.
Or maybe the Pastor spoke out against homosexuality or abortion. With the violence in Michigan and Cali from Prop 9, we may be seeing a trend.

This is exactly why I carry everywhere, even in church. Everyone in my congregation knows I am a cop, and I couldn’t live with myself if I let something happen to them.
Oh, PLEASE! What nonsense.
