Here is video of White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs responding to a question about comments by former Vice-President Dick Cheney that President Obama is seeking to take advantage of the Economic Crisis to radically expand government in all kinds of ways.

Gibbs responds that "I guess Rush Limbaugh was busy," so they "trotted out the next most popular member of the Republican cabal."

Question: As Gibbs makes the caddy remark, you hear some female hyena laughing in the background. I wonder which member of the impartial press corps it was who thought Gibbs was so funny? . . . . . . (Watch Video)

Cheney may or may not be fair game, but this White House continues to attack a private citizen by name.

This administration's ineptitude is matched only by it's arrogance and hubris.

They have to attack whoever is effective to be able to continue with their smoke and mirrors. Cheney does not back down and neither does Limbaugh.

Just when you think Gibbs couldn’t get more “high school” he does. One of these days he is gonna let a “fersure like whatevah” slip out during one of his whiny, Valley Girl rants.

My money is H. Thomas as the “giddy” presstitute.

I should hope fair-minded liberals (e.g., Jake Tapper) would blanch at the use of the term “cabal” for “those who dare disagree with this administration.” Imagine if a Bush spokesman had used that term.

Yeah, there sems to be a direct correlation with their siniking poll numbers and the attacks on the right.

Strategy seems to be shifting to blaming Bush again. Great leadership.

In a debate, you can always tell when you’re getting to the truth when the opposition finds it necessary to answer with personal attacks.

When did any press secretary for a Republican president demonize the opposition party in this fashion?

Perhaps next Gibbs can call Republicans “Imperialist Running Dog Lackeys of the Capitalist Ruling Classes”...

Having this Robert Gibbs goof brief the press from behind the symbol of the Office of the President of the U.S. proves that kids and cry babies are in charge.

Who'd want to work for these box of tools known as the Obama administration?

I know I don't... I "graduated" from 5th grade in 1976.
