All most all of us can live on 10% less income. The government can do the same, if they have the political will!

Fiscal conservatives can retake the House and come close to a majority in the Senate if they concentrate on fiscal responsibility. If they practice what they preach they can hold the House and Senate for the next 12 years!

I know that California is “holding” state income tax return checks, essentially it doesn’t have the money to pay out.

I was told that NY is doing the same thing and NJ, as well??

Anybody elsse heard about this or NOT getting tax returns from their states when they otherwise might be??

My state, Maryland, which suckles greatly from the Federal teat in DC, is reportedly close to becoming insolvent. At least the Governor and the Comptroller can’t seem to agree on how bad of a mess the state is in.

State revenues are down and the only hiring going on is in the State Comptroller’s office where they are saddling-up manpower and more tech to audit small business owners.

They hope to recoup anywhere from $100,00 to $4.5 million to help bridge the state’s 1.1 billion dollar deficit.
