A wise old Uncle told me when I was a kid that gun rights were in danger. But being proverbially young and stupid, I ignored him until the Clinton Administration.
We all know that the Brady's goal is absolutely no guns in America. Period. That is, except for the criminals. Although this may be attempted by law, we all know that gun carrying criminals will never give up the tools of their trade. Getting caught with a gun is just a cost of doing business with them. In reality, a thug's carrying a gun just enhances their street reputation. It is amusing though when they are many times inept enough to shoot themselves with their own gun.
Encouragingly, the national landscape has changed since the last national gun ban. 48 states now allow some form of concealed carry. Most of this has happened since the Clinton era. Gun carry permit applications, and Firearms and ammunition sales are off the charts since Obama's election. Gun owners are looking at tough times ahead. They must be equally tough to meet the challenges. The crisis escalating and is coming like a runaway freight train, and it's approach is coming fast.
Like many Americans, seeing the hatred of guns by liberals and their actions,...

Awesome. If anyone knows a comprehensive site of concealed carry laws for all states, could you post it please?
The now 8 month old non stop run on weapons and ammo isn’t for the up coming Dove hunting season.
Its coming.
It took the New York Times to make me realize the 1st Amendment is essentially worthless.

Web sites that list permit reciprocity are a good start. But...They do not always have the most current information. You are responsible for validating your own information.
For example, most sites show Wyoming having reciprocity with many states. That is no longer true. They have dropped reciprocity with most of the other states they had it with. Currently, there are only six states they reciprocate with.
Make a phone call, or even better, write a letter to the Attorney General’s office, or to the State police of the state you are going to to in order to verify reciprocity and get a written response. If you can get a letter, that’s best. If you call the state police, get the name, badge number, and location of the officer saying there is reciprocity. Carry it with you in that state and don’t lose it.
A defense to wrong legal information, if you get it, is that you got the information from a person who should know the law and that you depended on that information. You have to have a name of a specific person that told you. Remember, defenses don’t always work. But, in the long run, its best not to get arrested in the first place.

Also opencarry.org list gun laws by state, and maps them by gun friendly rating. The nra site is also a decent site.
Actually, Wyoming hasn’t deleted states yet. They are reviewing the list as of this date to determine if changes should be made. point being...things change...verify before carrying.
Don’t ever leave home without your handgun and permit. Initially, you won’t. But as time goes by there is that chance. If you do, go back home and get it..every time. Repeat...Stop, turn around, and go back home and get it. Don’t get complacent. You worked hard for that permit. Its sad to sometimes read news where a CCW holder was robbed, or attacked and killed, but he didn’t carry that day.
Was at the gunshow this weekend. Talked to a seller/presenter who voted for Obama and still believes in him. Takes all kinds I guess...
HOPE everyone CHANGEd their mind about buying from him when they heard that...
I saw a joke on Friday about a fictitious letter from a CEO. He said because of the higher taxes about to befall his company he was going to have to make some employee personnel cuts. He agonized over the decision until he went out to the parking lot and chose the first six employees who had cars with an Obama sticker on it. It ended with I’ll see the rest of you at the company picnic..
