Harvard Student Takes on Barney Franks Over His Role In The Economic Melt-Down (Video)

It all started with a question: "How much responsibility, if any, do you have for the financial crisis?"
Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) and a conservative Harvard law student debated over how Frank should have handled his role as the House Chairman of the Financial Services Committee. Frank was at Harvard University for a speech at the Kennedy School of Government.
Frank said the student wasn't backing up his claims, invoking some laughter from the crowd, and the student told Frank he wasn't answering his question.
This student was absolutely incredible! "You're a public representative, I'm a student... it does allow me to ask you a question. I'm waiting for an answer."
Frank acts like a deranged lunatic while this student was intelligent, calm and rational.
Frank adds there is a "systematic right-wing attack to try and divert the blame." It amazes me how Frank continues to act like a child, knowing full-well that he shares a substantial amount of the blame for sub-prime mortgages which contributed to the current recession.

Frank tried using the same non sequitors and bully tactics he's successfully used on corporate executives & political opponents & this kid wasn't buying it.
Frank should have left there feeling impotent, because he sure looked it.

Striking how Conservative kids have to be so factual, calm and respectful.
A stark difference to leftist students.
And the politicians, the same. Frank can be an ass and get away with it. No conservative politician could answer that way.
The fact that conservatives are held to a much higher standard is something that both frustrates me, and makes me proud.

Agree. . .and that he tried to shift blame to the fed, saying the fed came to him and just dictated to them the spending and bonuses.
Congress are the APPROPRIATORS. They control the government purse. They can easily have said, “Whoa, we don't agree and if you continue, we will cut off further funding.”
Hmmmm. . .sounds like the left when It comes to defense spending and the war, so why not use that same power to control the fed?

Agree.
And what is it with these guys like Frank, parading around and proud to be homosexual, demanding we “celebrate” the fact he likes to have some man place his pecker in his anus, or vice versa. YUCK.

This is a member of Congress attacking a citizen who is only exercising his right to question actions which Frank clearly refuses to be accountable for. I am saying it is the end of our freedom when government feels this emboldened against the people.

What a liar. With help from the mainstream media, cotton mouth is distorting known facts regarding his despicable role in our current financial mess. Perhaps he should remove the balls from his mouth and speak the truth. Oh wait he can't, he's a liberal demoncrat.

This is a member of Congress attacking a citizen who is only exercising his right to question actions which Frank clearly refuses to be accountable for... Liberals are thin-skinned totalitarians. Liberal "tolerance" only applies to themselves and their pet groups. It would be as if conservatives walked around "proud" of their great tolerance ... FOR being accepting of the NRA.
If Liberals knew how puffed up, hypocritically stupid they looked to us, they would vomit.

Good point. We know that we have reached the end of a rational civilized society when that society affords s special rights label to a group people whose major accomplishment is to take something that was up their arse and immediately insert said object in their mouth. It would be hysterical if it were not so pitiful.
