Perpetually-campaigning Obama Launches Charm Offensive
Greeted With Contempt, Derision and Condescension, Yet Wholly Unnoticed.
Barack Obama, fresh from performing Political Felatio on the Castro Brothers in Cuba, eagerly attended the U.S.-bashing Summit of the Americas in Trinadad.
As a token of respect, Mr. Chavez presented the fawning Barack Obama with a book entitled "The Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent" by Eduardo Galeano, an essay about U.S. and European economic and political interference in the region.

Of course he's going to suck up to Chavez and Castro--they're his role models.
He's probably unhappy that he can't meet Castro in person, yet. Maybe he's got a "Nixon goes to China" scenario in the works where he becomes the first President to visit Cuba (at least since 1959--I don't know if any Presidents ever visited the island between 1898 and 1959).
