I'm not going to say much about the 10th anniversary of this horrific event; I'll leave that to the pundits and commentators. What I would like to say is my prediction for statements by the media and Democrat public officials, i.e., get ready for all liberalism all day.
In this case, prepare to be bombarded with slanted stories about the need for more gun control! Gun control! We need more gun control! Racists! Hate-mongers! All those Obama-haters are getting guns! (Of course, liberals/Democrats who associate the Columbine shootings with the lack of adequate gun control can't seem to explain why there aren't several Columbine-style shootings a week, a month, a year, a decade ...)
They might even pull Michael Moore out of whatever vat of french fry oil he's been lounging in so he can repeat the lies and myths perpetuated through that sad, sad

I feel sorry for the kids going to school there today. Having to sit through this drivel, while they have no connection to the events. Most weren’t even in Kindergarten yet.

It's tough to even know what to say about the Columbine tragedy. Like this writer said, it was a horrible event carried out by two very disturbed kids. It's a nightmare what happened at that school. It (should, anyway) defy any and all attempts to politicize or explain away. Nothing can explain what happened that day and the only ones who could are two cowardly, soulless excuses for human beings who killed themselves so they wouldn't have to face the punishment for what they did.
But after the Wellstone memorial fiasco, our friends on the left threw down the gauntlet that there wasn't a level they wouldn't stoop to to push their lib policies/agenda.

I’ve always considered April 20 as the anniversary of the start of the Spanish-American War.

How about making April 20 the “Day to Put God Back in School”, instead? Or how about making it the offical “Day to Withdraw your Kids from Government School”, if you haven’t been inspired enough to do so yet?
