Have you shot it yet? How about a quick review.

No, I'm a semi-auto guy. I haven't shot one yet. All I know is that from all the new products that are out, it's going to be a pretty popular product.

“Stick with a revolver- I am qualtified from the military police and having an automatic in the house still scares me.”

This may sound a bit ornery, but, I’m a bit confused. Why would your irrational fear of a useful tool (hoplophobia) be useful to someone that is asking for advise on which tool (of the type you are afraid of) he/she should purchase to use?

My 9 year old grandson shoots both revolvers and semi-auto firearms, well trained little bugger that he is, with no problem or issues.

You really need to get a pair bud. OBTW, I thought that your of “military police” training was a good touch. It is a good thing that the rest of our military forces are not afraid of guns.

Truthfully, the more I have read on the CZ the more I like it. It appears the Israelis liked it enough to copy it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still a Glock guy, but it looks like a really nice pistol.

Cheers

I agree with forget the PPK for your wife. It’s one of my least favorites. It’s not accurate and it’s hard for most women to rack the slide. Lots of women like the Bersa Thunder. Most of the Bersa’s are affordable and very easy for women to use. The PPK, a waste of $$ imo.

I suggest if it is a 9mm that you want, you look at the Springfield XDM semi auto. NRA pistol of the year 2009!!! I own 3 XD’s and I sold all of my Glocks (had three). My choice is .45 acp but the 9mm XDM is a pistol that you and your wife will love.
____________
We recently got an XD and honestly not that thrilled with it. Until you put about 500 rounds through the slide is a b*tch for any woman to rack.

Not a thing wrong with a .22. Lots of women are recoil sensitive and if they’re afraid of it and don’t want to shoot it, what good is it? a .22 most anyone is comfortable with. No recoil, cheap ammo, easy to rack the slide, fun plinkers for the range. People have died from bb guns. A .22HP can easily take someone down with a head shot an/or a chest shot.

There is no romance with a .40. .. Ammo is difficult to find and extremely expensive. .... 9mm and .45 ammo is commonly available.

I see you haven’t shopped for ammo in some time..
_____________
I can’t find either now. It’s insane. Sold out, even .22LR is scarce. Crazy sh*t!

My first Pistol.

If you can shoot a flintlock accurately any modern gun is a piece of cake.

The CZ75B is one of the all-time best selling (and widely used) pistols in the world.
___________
Indeed, see review below. They are sweet. Glocks have their perks too. You can’t kill a Glock. They are workhorses but feel like you are holding a brick.

Sorry to hear that... possibly contact Springfield. They have the best Customer Service around... even a complete custom shop in house. I know several women that shoot them and no complaints (XDm versions). Never even occurred to me that it might be stiff. I have shot two of the three XD's that I own... a bunch. The more I shoot them... the more I love them... the smoother the trigger action etc. They all three have wicked accuracy.

It is a sweet pistol. If you ever get the chance at the range, shoot one. IMO, no other gun beats the CZ for 9mm. For .45 ACP, it is Kimber for me. But for 9mm, it is CZ hands down.

And for the price, it cannot be beat. I saw one recently on sale at Cabela’s for $519 ($419 with $100 coupon they send out). This is about the same price as a cheap Ruger 9mm, yet it is one of the best guns in its class IMHO.

I was to Walmart recently and they had no .22LR!!!!!

I left for vacation about a month ago and recently got back thinking the ammo shortage would have been a distant memory, but amazingly it has only gotten worse!
