I’m encouraged by this (assuming they weren’t giving away valuable door prizes).

OMG! I grew up in Carlsbad. Go Cavemen! Artesia used to be a bus stop between Roswell and Carlsbad. There was a refinery there and you could hold your breath as you drove through (literally). We were such rivals I never knew anyone that lived there. Hope lots of folks from Carlsbad got to attend.

And you’d rather Kerry or Gore was President? Didn’t like honor and dignity in the White House? Rather have a secularist in charge? What’s the matter, didn’t get 100% of what you wanted? Poor crybaby.

Yes thank you, I inferred that W did not deserve respect, only the Office, from your post. My apologies. (I like to crush trolls.)

On the matter of terroists, IMHO GWB does deserve respect. As does the Office of POTUS. There are other matters which I did not agree on with him (social and financial).

On the matter of smashing trolls, walk carefully there, FRiend. You've been around FR long enough (2002) to know what a troll is and not. You went a little half cocked in my case and, for that, you are relegated to 1 hour in a leaky duck blind with the tide coming in (my version of water boarding) ;-).

FYI - I am to the right of Dick Cheney.

He was sounding good until he to this line:

“Bush made his first public speech since leaving office in Canada back in March. Bush said he hoped President Barack Obama’s administration would be successful.”

Next time I will do my research.

I am prepared to do my penance in the duck blind.

God Bless Dick Cheney!

George W. Bush is following the tradition of former Presidents not criticizing a sitting President. This tradition was ignored by Bill Clinton during the Bush Presidency.

That's just the way the Bush family is....manners before anything else.

God bless Dubya...I hope he is enjoying his retirement from public office.
